Review: Dark Nights Death Metal #1

When it comes to the DC Universe right now, I like to use the term “organized mess,”“ which means that their stories are difficult to explain, but it can still function on a day-to-day basis. Anyways, there is nothing wrong with their universe being messy if you“re also entertaining. At DC There are plenty of Storylines and new characters that are flourishing among the clutter, and that is going to include Dark Nights Death Metal.

Broken timelines, ageless characters, and parallel continuity has been a hallmark for DC ever since The Flash No. 123 (1961), “The Flash of Two Worlds,”“ Barry learns about a dimension called “Earth-2.”“ It is this concept ”” that every superhero story happened. For better and for worse, this notion of “continuity”“ is the first of many, many long-winded continuity explanations in comics history.

Dark Nights: Death Metal #1, Batman Who Laughs has subjugated most of the known universes using Perpetua as his General to conquer all. What is left of the Justice League have pinned their hopes on a new concept called “crisis energy, and Anti-Crisis. A mystery on how to unlock it lies within Wally who was the witness to the battle that was fought to make “Every Life Matter”“. Yeah Good Luck with that.

Almost a year ago DC Comics publishers Dan DiDio and Jim Lee talked about DC priorities as building the “connective tissue” of DC continuity, Dark Nights Death Metal seems to be the biggest step toward building that.
