Review: Dead Man Logan #10

Synopsis:

Logan returned to his original timeline and reunited with Dani Cage and Bruce Banner Jr. the last Hulk. They went to the Badlands and arrived at Forge’s compound so they could recover, but Sabretooth and his minions have followed them there. This issue opens with an all-out attack on the compound.

The Creative Team:

Ed Brisson picks up the pace with this action-packed issue. Our heroes are backed into a corner and have to fight their way out. Logan is doing his best to stave off the clones of Sabretooth while Dani is trying to convince the Junior Hulk not to get involved with the fight since he’s not up to 100%, but Bruce Jr. wants to get into the fray. This is an excellent chapter in the series and ups the stakes as we approach the climax of this story. Great stuff includes how the enemy handled the Hulk and the revelation of what ultimately happened to Sabretooth.

Mike Henderson shows off his artistic chops with this battle prone issue. His panels are tough no-nonsense war scenes that are brutal and see our heroes in deadly peril. Highlights include the opening fight scene and the final splash page.

In Conclusion:

This issue is an Adrenalin rush like no other. The pace is relentless and never slows down. I’m really digging this series and it shows a lot of muscle in its execution. For anyone that thinks comics can’t be profound and yet exciting, they have to pick this series up as in the end one of our heroes…to be continued.
