Holy F*cked #2
By Nick Marino and Daniel Arruda Massa
Let’s judge this book by its cover… A very beefy looking Jesus holding a knight. Cartoony looking cover for a grown up book.
Spoiler free? Nope, not this time.
The facts are these… Jesus and Satan have been hanging out a lot, in fact they’ve fallen in love and are having a baby…. Ermmm yeah Satan is knocked up. Their friend Maria has a new boyfriend and the pair are coming over for dinner.
If you’re sitting comfortably we can begin… The four sit down for a lovely meal cooked by Satan, all the dishes are to help Maria with her home sickness. Maria’s boyfriend seems to have a massive problem with Jesus going so far as to kidnap Jesus and tie him up in a bus full of explosives and is going to drive it to a nuclear power plant and try to kill Jesus.
Luckily Maria has a direct line to the New Apostles, a team of holier then thou beings consisting of Cosmic Moses, a space basketball player. Mother 2resa, a computer program. The Secret Pope, a tattooed, shaved headed torturer and the Holy Spirit, an alien monster hunter. The New Apostles to the rescue. To be continued.
Such a fun book. The simple art makes it easy to enjoy and the idea of Jesus and Satan having a baby made me chuckle. Satans baby shower panel has a few hidden gems. The giant penis with a vagina is both hilarious and gross.
For the laughs and the fun it’s a 4 star book for me.

Hey, I'm Shane.
Been into comics since I was about 5. Loved watching Wonder Woman and superboy in the 80's.
I Started reading seriously about 10 years ago. Began to collect a few comic series, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Teen Titans, Justice League of America and Superman Batman all pre flashpoint. Being honest that was my favourite run.
