REVIEW : King Tiger #2
Story : Randy Stradley
Art: Doug Wheatley
Colors: Rain Beredo
Publisher : Dark Horse Comics
Release Date : September 9, 2015
Out this week from Dark Horse Comics is King Tiger #2. The issue picks up directly where the last left off. Tiger and Milo attempt to make their escape from the crew of demonic bad guys that ambushed them in the previous issue’s cliffhanger ending. The first few pages are nothing but action and artist Doug Wheatley does a terrific job illustrating a bold getaway as well as a huge fight sequence. Stradley spends most of the remaining pages filling readers in on Tiger’s relationship to those pursuing him and their reasons for doing so. This issue focuses more on the story, but has enough action to keep readers engaged.
King Tiger #2 offers just as much excitement as the first issue. Stradley has wasted no time getting this story moving, as two issues in we get a full reveal of the villains and their motives. There’s a huge fight sequence in the issue that stole the show for me. Doug Wheatley and Rain Beredo seem like a perfect match on this story.
Final Verdict : Two issues in, the King Tiger series has earned my attention through it’s conclusion. This is a strong issue that not only gives you great plot details, but some awesome action to wash it down with. I wanna see where this one goes.
