Review: Lazarus #14
Story: Greg Rucka
Art: Michael Lark
Colors: Santi Arcas
Letters: Jodi Wynne
Cover: Owen Freeman
Publisher: Image Comics
Release Date: January 14, 2015
Lazarus is back this week with issue #14. The story continues with the aftermath of Forever rescuing her brother Jonah. She quickly learns more about her past, makes the decision not to fulfill her mission of killing her brother, and actually helps him escape captivity.
As Forever returns home, everyone is summoned together and informed of the escape. A power struggle ensues, and the issue ends on a cliffhanger, with a Lazarus vs. Lazarus fight proposed for control of the family.
The story Greg Rucka is churning out for this book continues to be amazing. It’s fast paced, has great plots and there is no shortage of action. Similarly, Michael Lark’s art continues to be amazing. Such quality work over such a long period of time is hard to come by, but Lark has yet to stumble in my opinion.
Final Verdict: If you are not reading this series, you are doing yourself a disservice. Pick it up NOW. If you are an existing fan, you already know what to expect from Lazarus #14.
