Let’s judge this book by its cover… Lobo locked in battle with Sinestro. The art is stunning and the scene itself though not actually representative of what happens inside is fantastic.
The facts are these… Last time we saw Lobo (Lobo annual #1) he was sent to kill Sinestro, but before he could finish him off, Sinestro cancelled the hit as he was the one that hired Lobo. Now lobo is working for Sinestro hunting down and killing members of rival lantern corps.
Now if you’re sitting comfortably we can begin… The planet Nok and indigo-1 the leader of the indigo lanterns is attacked by one of her own. He has lost his ring hand becoming the murdering monster he was before being given the ring. Lobo arrives and kills him before attacking indigo-1. She manages to teleport away before he can kill her. Back with Sinestro, Lobo is given his new list of lanterns to kill. This time he’s sent after the red lanterns Rankorr and Bleez. Lobo kills Rankorr but Bleez escapes and heads back to her leader Atrocitus who is not about to let Lobo get away with attacking the red lantern corps. To be continued.
Lobo doesn’t miss a beat with its pacing. The action scenes are beautifully done and the fights make you feel that none of the lanterns are safe. The evil mind of Sinestro having the might of Lobo working for him makes for a very dangerous combination for everyone else.
That’s gonna leave a mark…It’s Lobo so there is plenty of violence in this one. He even bites his own finger off on one page. It’s a lot of blood but that’s what you get from Lobo.
The good, the bad and the star rating…
The Good – The action and the art. The threat to the lanterns. Having Rankorr die leaves you doubting who will survive now.
The Bad- It’s hard to find anything wrong with this book. Even knit picking is hard. Maybe a bit much blood. But it’s Lobo.
The Stars – It’s a pretty damn perfect Lobo book. Throw in some sexy times and it’ll be the main man to a tee. 4 stars for this one.

I Started reading seriously about 10 years ago. Began to collect a few comic series, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Teen Titans, Justice League of America and Superman Batman all pre flashpoint. Being honest that was my favourite run.
