Let’s judge this book by its cover… These covers get better with each issue, this scene is stunningly action packed with some truly beautiful colours, the softness of the tones make it look like what it is… A work of art. This is what a cover should be, perfectly represents what this title is about.
For a quick recap check out my reviews for both issues #0 & #1
We pick up where we left off last issue with Scorpina in Tommy’s room wanting the Green Ranger Coin and the Dragonzord, needless to say Tommy is not willing to hand over his power coin so Rita can use it to destroy the Rangers. Being head strong and thinking he can go it alone Tommy tries to take on Scorpina alone; you can guess how well that goes. With some great action panels and some insight into the real Tommy Oliver this book makes me happy. Not only does it show what a complete tool Tommy is as he thinks he’s better than the other Rangers who by the way have been doing this a lot longer than him so he needs to check himself, he is so jealous of Jason that it doesn’t take too much trying for Rita to rile his goat. It’s just beautifully done, the build up and the characterizations of everyone makes them more fleshed out more than ever. We get the feel of an adult book with the fun of a kids tv show, what could be better than that?
The art is some of the most gorgeous I’ve seen, both people and zords are drawn so well. I can’t say enough good things about this title and yes that might be the 90’s kid in me jumping for joy that I get to read about the best Ranger team of all time, but I have to say this feels like it’s written by an actual MMPR fan that knows not only who these kids are but what fans want.
Anything less than 5 stars would be a sin.

Hey, I'm Shane.
Been into comics since I was about 5. Loved watching Wonder Woman and superboy in the 80's.
I Started reading seriously about 10 years ago. Began to collect a few comic series, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Teen Titans, Justice League of America and Superman Batman all pre flashpoint. Being honest that was my favourite run.
