Let’s judge this book by its cover… Very busy cover with surprisingly little detail. It fits the book well though I just say. Dark and creepy it’s well done.
When private detective Henry Barrymore is hired to find the head of a horror movie studio he gets more than he bargained for when he is thrown into a real life monster movie.
Crime noir done well is a thing of beauty and this book takes that and adds monsters… MONSTERS! That alone makes my smile so big it hurts my face. The monologue is spot on for the 1930’s and the movie monsters of that time all showing up made me love this book. The art style is very nice as well, the detail inside out shines the cover ten fold.
Who doesn’t love a good murder mystery and some old-fashioned monster mayhem smashed together like bubble and squeak.
This is a strong 4 star book. Issue two is calling my name.

Hey, I'm Shane.
Been into comics since I was about 5. Loved watching Wonder Woman and superboy in the 80's.
I Started reading seriously about 10 years ago. Began to collect a few comic series, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Teen Titans, Justice League of America and Superman Batman all pre flashpoint. Being honest that was my favourite run.
