Review: QUINCE: THE DEFINITIVE BILINGUAL EDITION

Before I start I must thank the editor of Comic Crusaders, Al Mega, for giving me the opportunity to do this review.

For Latinos when a daughter reaches the age of 15, it’s a moment of joy for the entire family, Lupita who is the protagonist of the story came to such a difficult age for any teenager, however, on her birthday she will receive a very special gift: a set of very different Superpowers, she can fly, have telekinesis, she even can manage the flow of time, fortunately for Lupita she will not be alone, she is accompanied by her sweet and demanding grandmother Emma, ”‹”‹who as Lupita at the age of 15 , obtained superpowers, but everything has a price, Lupita must spend her school holidays training to control her new powers for which she must train very hard under the tutelage of her grandmother.

Being a full-time Superheroine and also fulfilling the daily duties of the school will be a difficult task that Lupita must face and overcome, for this she must confront all her fears and limitations, fortunately she has all her friends and family to successfully overcome every problem in the best way.

Quince is a beautiful comic that really touches what it is to be Latino: The family, an example of this is the very special relationship of Lupita with her grandmother, a good and talented team meets in each 15 issues to give us one of the best Superhero comics I have read ever.

Para los latinos cuando una hija llega a los 15 años es un momento fastuoso para la familia, en cualquier país del mundo donde se encuente un latino cuya hija cumpla 15 años hay una gran celebración, Lupita quien es la protagonista llegó a tan díficil edad para cualquier adolescente, sin embargo el día de su cumpleaños recibirá un don muy especial: Superpoderes, afortunadamente para Lupita no estará sola, la acompaña su dulce y exigente abuela Emma, quien como Lupita al tener los 15 años obtuvo superpoderes, pero todo tiene un precio, Lupita deberá pasar sus vacaciones escolares dominando sus nuevos poderes para lo cual deberá entrenar muy duro bajo la tutela de su abuela.

Ser una Superheroína a tiempo completo y además cumplir con los deberes diaros de la escuela será una difícil labor a la que Lupita deberá enfrentar y vencer todos sus miedos y limitaciones, afortunadamente ella cuenta con sus amigos y familiares para lograr superar cada problema de la mejor manera.

Quince es un hermoso cómic que sabe realmente tocar la fibra de lo que es ser latino: La familia, la relación de Lupe con su abuela es muy especial, para muchos latinos nuestras abuelitas son seres especiales y únicos, un buen y talentoso equipo se reune en estos 15 fasciculos para brindarnos uno de los mejores cómics de Superhéroes que haya leído.
