Review: Red Sonja and Vampirella meet Betty and Veronica #3

Recently the Archie-Verse comics have given us the most unexpected crossovers, the most notable being: Predator and The Punisher just to name two, now straight from the Hyborian age and from the planet Drakulon, Red Sonja and the mythical Vampirella come to us.

Betty is investigating with Dilton a photo that appeared in a Riverdale yearbook from the seventies, where Betty, Veronica, Vampirella and Sonja are together like the best friends, which would be impossible considering the number of years between photo and today, however they do not realize that in the shadows there is someone who is stalking, when Betty leaves Dilton, the mysterious figure who is a dangerous serial killer stabs Dilton, fortunately Betty and Sonja were near, Sonja skillfully pursues the murderer and when facing each other, the murderer pronounces a few words in a mysterious language and escapes after jumping out the window, however nothing can be done but only ask for help to save Dilton’s life.

In the Riverdale police station two detectives are investigating the recent attacks of the murderer among which sadly now Dilton joins the victims (no, do not be scared, he is in the clinic) however there are two pieces that do not fit, two people who came to Riverdale in a mysterious way: The redhead and the Goth girl! As if it wasn’t enough Vampirella’s instinct starts to emerge and desperately goes to the Riverdale Blood Bank, where her presence does not go unchecked to finally be been caught red-handed (literally) and seized by the police .

It is certainly an unexpected and surprising crossover that brings together two of the most emblematic pop culture figures: Vampirella and Red Sonja in a mystery and suspense story since there is a murderer in Riverdale and is likely to be related to the strange presence of Sonja and Vampirella, is an interesting comic that is worth considering.

Vaya que los cÃ³mics de Archie-Verse nos han brindado los mÃ¡s inesperados crossovers, siendo los mÃ¡s notables: Predator y The Punisher solo por citar a dos, ahora directo de la era HibÃ³rea y del planeta Drakulon nos vienen Red Sonja y la mÃtica Vampirella.

Betty se encuentra investigando con Dilton una foto aparecida en un anuario de Riverdale de los aÃ±os 70, allÃ claramente se ven a Betty, Veronica, Vampirella y Sonja todas como si fueran las mejores amigas, cosa que serÃa imposible considerando la cantidad de aÃ±os entre la foto y la actualidad, sin embargo no se dan cuenta que entre las sombras hay alguien que estÃ¡ asechando, cuando Betty deja a Dilton investigando, la misteriosa figura se trata de un peligroso asesino serial que ataca de forma brutal a Dilton, afortunadamente Betty y Sonja estaban cerca, Sonja forma hÃ¡bil persigue al asesino y al estar frente a frente, el asesino pronuncia unas palabras en un lenguaje misterioso y escapa luego de saltar por la ventana, sin embargo nada pueden hacer sino solo pedir ayuda para salvar la vida de Dilton.

En la estaciÃ³n de policÃa de Riverdale dos detectives se encuentran investigando los recientes ataques del asesino entre los cuales tristemente ahora se suma Dilton entre las vÃctimas (no, no se asusten, estÃ¡ en la clÃnica) sin embargo hay dos piezas que no encajan dos personas que llegaron a Riverdale de forma misteriosa: La pelirroja y la chica Goth! Como si no fuera suficiente el instinto de Vampirella empieza a surgir y desesperadamente se dirige al Banco de Sangre de Riverdale, donde su presencia no pasa inavertida para finalmente ser agarrada con las manos en la masa (o la sangre) y se apresada por la policÃa.

Ciertamente es un inesperado y sorpresivo crossover que reune a dos de las figuras de la cultura pop mÃ¡s emblemÃ¡ticas: Vampirella y Red Sonja en una historia de misterio y suspenso ya que hay un asesino en Riverdale y es probable que estÃ© relacionado con la extraÃ±a presencia de Sonja y Vampirella, es un interesante cÃ³mic que vale la pena tener en consideraciÃ³n.
