Review: SFSX #2

Avory had a successful career making sex videos in a company called Dirty Mind, was discovered by Jones who saw in her alter ego “Simona Salacious” a jewel of erotic art, later Avory met George and eventually became husbands, so “Simona Salacious” would remain in the past, however the appearance of an organization called “The Party” would change Avory’s life forever by kidnapping George and trying to arrest her.

Avory now is asking for help to their old friends of Dirty Mind: Sylvia and Casey to rescue George, but Sylvia and Casey do not forgive Avory for abandoning them all these years
and if that was not enough Avory receives another bad new: The disappearance of Jones who is believed dead, the rejection received in Dirty Mind makes Avory play a new card: Nick, a former client and fervent admirer of Simona Salacious, however the unexpected appearance of Jones with The Party will change Avory’s plans once again.

SFSX is a outline-breaking comic, it’s about a society where sex is monitored and sexual diversity prohibited and punished, something not far from what is currently happening, I am fascinated by the way in which Tina Horn is creating a complex plot with a lot of plot twist around a delicate subject for society such as sexual diversity, something as old as humanity and even older than any religion created by man, the art of Michael Dowling is also exceptional without counting the colors and tones used throughout the comic.

Avory tuvo una exitosa carrera haciendo videos ponogrÃ¡ficos en una empresa llamada Dirty Mind, fue descubierta por Jones quien vio en su alter ego Simona Salacious una verdadera joya del arte erÃ³tico, tiempo despuÃ©s Avory conociÃ³ el amor con George y eventualmente se convirtieron en esposos por lo que Simona Salacious quedarÃa en el pasado, sin embargo la apariciÃ³n de una organizaciÃ³n llamada “The Party” cambiarÃa la vida de Avory para siempre al secuestrar a George e intentar detenerla a ella.

Avory ahora decide recurrir a sus antiguas amigas y compaÃ±eras de Dirty Mind, Sylvia y Casey en busca de ayuda para rescatar a George, sin embargo ellas no le perdonan a Avory el abandono de todos estos aÃ±os, ademÃ¡s de recibir la mala noticia de la desapariciÃ³n de Jones a quien creen muerta, el rechazo recibido en Dirty Mind hace que Avory juegue una carta nueva: Nick un antiguo cliente y ferviente admirador de Simona Salacious, sin embargo la apariciÃ³n de Jones junto a The Party cambiarÃ¡n los planes de Avory una vez mÃ¡s.

SFSX es un cÃ³mic que rompe con muchos esquemas, trata de una sociedad donde el sexo es vigilado y castigado y la diversidad sexual prohibida, algo no muy lejano de lo que actualmente ocurre, me fascina la manera en que Tina Horn va creando una trama compleja y con varios giros inesperados particularmente para Avory en torno a un tema que sigue siendo delicado para la sociedad como es la diversidad sexual, algo tan antiguo como la humanidad e ingluso mÃ¡s antiguo que cualquier religiÃ³n creada por el hombre, el arte de Michael Dowling es tambien excepcional sin contar los colores y tonos empleados a lo largo del comic.
