REVIEW: Sonic the Hedgehog #275
Sonic the Hedgehog #275
Script: Ian Flynn
Art: Tyson Hesse, Jim Amash, Jack Morelli and Matt Herms
Let judge this book by its cover…it’s sonic running. Shocker! Not really anything special. But it’s drawn well.
The facts are these…worlds unite is a massive 12 issue crossover and this is part 11. Sigma has used the power of the Genesis portal to escape justice and kidnap Dr. Eggman and Dr. Wily to build him whatever he wants, what he wants is to take over both Sonic’s world and Megaman’s world. Both Sonic and Megaman have joined together some of the greatest video game characters from many different worlds including Alex Kidd, Billy Hatcher, Golden Axe and Street Fighter to name a few to fight back.
If you’re sitting comfortably we can begin… Team Sonic/Megaman is facing off against a giant robot suited Sigma…….FIGHT!!!! That’s what this whole book is, one big fight scene with some of your favourite video games characters from your childhood teaming up in odd pairs. Not much talking more splash panels of action. It’s very family friendly. I’m shocked there are 275 issues, I’m wondering if that’s monthly or weekly because of its monthly my quick maths tells me it’s been going for about 23 years  I know sonic is old but surely not in comic form. Anyway that’s a landmark issue.
The Good, the Bad and the Star rating…
The Good – being of the generation that saw Sonic’s birth and played most of not all of the games mentioned in this comic I enjoyed seeing them all again. The action is fast paced and none stop. The Art is clean and bright.
The Bad – it doesn’t have mimics story telling in it. It doesn’t really add anything. For a such a crossover it doesn’t feel that big.
The Stars- For kids it’s great for big kids like me just looking at the heroes wasn’t enough. Sadly it’s only a 2 star book.

- Hey, I'm Shane.
Been into comics since I was about 5. Loved watching Wonder Woman and superboy in the 80's.
I Started reading seriously about 10 years ago. Began to collect a few comic series, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Teen Titans, Justice League of America and Superman Batman all pre flashpoint. Being honest that was my favourite run.
