REVIEW: Star-Lord #5
Image this with an Australian accent “This is cool?” It just feels like the right level of surprise when talking an Earthbound Peter Quill.
He’s doing on Earth what he did in space, being a scoundrel with the heart of gold. The writing is a little flat but the characters all have a unique voice and the dialogue keeps things moving nicely. There’s some nice character moments in a villain bar as well.
It’s a good idea, it’s a fish out of water story with the twist that the fish has been wearing a wetsuit on land and should have been in the water to start with.
The art suits the story perfectly, pastel colours, thin lines, flat compositions for the most part all give the story a grounded feeling and the fantastic elements pop all the more for it.
Good idea, done well, fun character.
