REVIEW: Star Lord and Kitty Pryde #1
G’day Love Birds!
Dodgy86 is in the mix, let me introduce you to Star Lord and Kitty Pryde # 1 by Sam Humphries with art by Alti Firmansyah.
Since the result of the destruction of the Multiverse and the rule of Doctor Doom. Stevie Rogers and his club band.. before you ask, Captain America is not reduced to earning money as your night’s light entertainment, that is the synonym of Peter Quill A.K.A Star Lord who works for bar manager Drax the Destroyer whos’ hair is bigger than Elvis.
Little does he know, an elegant lady enters the bar and she is close to Steve’s I mean Star Lord I mean Peter’s heart.. none other than Kitty Pryde who has a meeting with notorious thief and womanizer Gambit. What is their agenda and what do we find out about their relationship? Okay this ain’t the Kardashians, so i’ll leave it there!
The artwork by Firmansyah is smooth and flawless; Humphries gives humour which slightly matches Platt’s role in the GOTG movie and Gambit’s appearance was pretty friggin’ funny.
I didn’t love this book but the art and humour saved it..
A Marvel fan? Do Ya’self a favour and check it out!
