Review : T.H.U.N.D.E.R Agents 50th Anniversary

G’day Agents!

This is Dodgy86 in the mix, reporting to you to review a comic book called T.H.U.N.D.E.R Agents 50th Anniversary, Story by Various, Art by Wally Wood, Dan Adkins, Steve Ditko, Gary Leach, George Tuska, Various

Fifty years! This was during the Silver Age of comics and merely years after Marvel’s Golden age. A superhero book that doesn’t get the recognition they deserve!!

The Higher United Nations Defence Enforcement Reserves.

In T.H.U.N.D.E.R Headquarters, there are Agents who are different as they have special powers and are assigned to special missions the UN cannot do themselves.. This book focuses on an Agent Dynamo, his power belt grants him temporary superhuman strength, invincibility and durability as he encounters Thunder’s arch enemies The Warlords, the robotic Dynavac, an evil scientist and Dinosaurs! Yes Dinosaurs!! And witnesses a death of a friend.

I was at first I unaware this is a 50 years old story. Although the thought bubbles gave it away bring back old memories of comics past. This comic is before it’s time especially with it’s maturity when involving death, this wouldn’t have been acceptable in Marvel and DC because of the code.. This book is well written book and is not overly complicated making it an easy read with plenty of dialogue, the artwork pages including from the 80’s by legends Dave Cockrum, George Perez and more are a bonus.

In respect to an underdog of the Silver Age of comics, Do ya’self a favour and check it out!
