Review: Teen Titans #31
Just in time for Father`s day comes Adam Glass and Bernard Chang bring together this incredible block of panels. I hestitate to call it a story because there is no story. Just panel to panel head smashing bloody filicide action. Nothing to see here move along. And in the middle of all this chaos? Comics“ “ultimate bastich”“ Lobo. Really its a damn shame what he does to these kids in this comic.
Recently united with his biological daughter he shows her why it was good that they never met up until now. Lobo immediately shows her what he all about the credits and the occasional killing off his offspring. And of course the only reason he showed up is because someone was offering money…to go kill her.
- Xiomara’s maternal heritage remains a mystery, however it has been theorized that she was the daughter of Lobo for quite sometime and this book serves to confirm that fact. The speculation has been that her mother could be Harley Quinn, making Harley’s Little Black Book #6 the first time anyone speculated on the moment of conception.
Going foward, NBC Universal“s Syfy network is bringing Lobo to TV, with Warner Horizon Scripted Television. The alien bounty hunter, already, makes an appearance in the second season of Syfy“s “Krypton”.  The underutilized Lobo has long been portrayed as one of the strongest most foul mouthed and most dangerous characters in the DC Universe, so it makes me a little nervous that he being brought to life by the family friendly Syfy network.
Quick facts:
- 1st appearance of Lobo was in Omega Men #3.
- The 1st appearance of Xiomara Rojas aka Crush was in the Teen Titans Special (2018).
Quick thoughts:
- Speaking of the Lobo DC Universe TV show, what are the chances that not only do we get Lobo, but Crush, Djinn, Roundhouse and the rest of the Teen Titan characters?
