G’Day Crusaders,
This is Dodgy86 in the mix bringing you That Bulletproof Kid by Matt Kyme (writer/creator) with art by Arthur Strickland. Published by IF? Commix.
Anthony (or Anth known to those around him) is just like any other teenager with teenage issues, he deals with his nagging mom, has girl problems and the bout with an occasional bully. Well that part is true but, the reality is that Anth aint your ordinary teenager, he is gifted with superpowers. His codename is Bulletproof (to match his ability), himself and Wormwhole are the young sidekicks of the superhero named Crusader who are assigned to a secret mission.
As the mission is corrupted, what comes of they psyche of Bulletproof? It’s hard enough being a teenager little know a Superhero.. There was a tale told 30 years before hand of two alien (blue skinned) brothers that need to explained, this means you need to read more!
This book starts off as a typical teenage flick with humor and smart dialogue. Truthfully tells the story of a kid being lost in adolescence yet having responsibility of an adult. This is a surprisingly good read – the art compliments the story, beautifully colored and the action scenes were amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed this and cannot wait to read the next issue.
This is like Archie meets Superman.. huh? Do ya’self a favor and check it out!
