Review: Time Shopper

Carl is an average employee at “Task-Master” company, one day is called by the some mysterious lady at “Time Travel” Inc. To fulfill a very special mission, make the Earth a better place traveling with a time machine and fulfill some missions to improve the destiny of humanity, the best of all is that Carl have at his disposal a giant suitcase full of money, it sounds good, right?

Carl’s first mission is nothing less than avoiding World War II and the Holocaust killing Hitler while he is a newborn, which brings to mind that old dilemma of “if you could kill Hitler being a baby to avoid death of millions of people would you do it?” We already know what Deadpool could do, however Carl is not that baby killer type, besides something else catches his attention: A Chocolate shop with a special sale, you know… Chocolate and you have a giant suitcase full of money… What else would you do?

With the first mission of Carl failed another series of failures will come in a row: Save Pompeii people, save Kennedy to get killed, avoid Archduke Ferdinand’s assassination, avoid Judas Iscariot’s treason, each failure was caused by the temptation to have a full suitcase of money and the weakness of Carl for buy a lot of vintage stuff, however Carl would soon realize that he can return in the time machine to correct his mistakes and continue with his missions, however the suitcase full of money will be a very big temptation for Carl and it will simply complicate things further, which will provoke the fury of the mysterious woman who entrusts the mission to Carl in “Time Travel” who will take some very drastic measures to prevent Carl from continuing fail his missions.

It is an excellent graphic novel where we will witness with Carl of some events that have marked mankind since immemorial times, Action Laboratory brings us this great adventure written by Tony Fleecs the wonderful art of Christian Messey and the vibrant colors of Brad Simpson where the destiny of humanity depended on some dude named Carl, really?

Carl es un empleado destacado en la empresa “Task-Master” un dÃa es llamado por la empresa “Time Travel” para cumplir una misiÃ³n muy especial, hacer de la tierra un mejor lugar viajando con una mÃ¡quina del tiempo y cumplir algunas misiones que se suponen podrÃa mejorar el destino de la humanidad, lo mejor de todo es que tiene a su disposiciÃ³n una maleta gigante llena de dinero de todas las Ã©pocas, suena bien Â¿verdad?

La primera misiÃ³n de Carl es nada menos que evitar la segunda guerra mundial y el holocausto asesinando a Hitler mientras es un bebÃ©, lo que nos trae a la mente aquel viejo dilema de “si pudieras matar a Hitler siendo un bebÃ© para evitar la muerte de millones de personas Â¿lo harÃas?” Ya sabemos lo que harÃa Deadpool, sin embargo Carl no es ese tipo que mata bebÃ©s, ademÃ¡s que algo llama su atenciÃ³n, una ChocolaterÃa con una gran venta especial, ya saben Chocolate, tienes una maleta gigante llena de dinero Â¿Que otra cosa harÃas?

Con la primera misiÃ³n de Carl fallida, vendrÃan una serie de fracasos en fila: Salvar a Pompeya, evitar el asesinato de Kennedy, evitar la muerte del Archiduque Ferdinando, la traiciÃ³n de Judas, cada fallo era provocado por la tentaciÃ³n de tener una maleta llena de dinero y la debilidad de Carl por las cosas Vintage, sin embargo Carl no tardarÃa en darse cuenta que puede regresar en la mÃ¡quina del tiempo para corregir sus errores y continuar con sus misiones, sin embargo la maleta llena de dinero serÃ¡ una tentaciÃ³n muy grande para Carl y simplemente complicarÃ¡ mÃ¡s las cosas lo que provocarÃ¡ la furia de la misteriosa mujer quien encarga la misiÃ³n a Carl en “Time Travel” quien tomarÃ¡ algunas medidas muy drÃ¡sticas para evitar que Carl continÃºe cometiendo errores.

Es una excelente novela grÃ¡fica donde seremos testigos junto a Carl de algunos hechos que han marcado a la humanidad desde tiempos inmemoriables, todo esto junto a Carl y su peculiar sentido del humor, Action Lab nos trae esta gran aventura escrita por Tony Fleecs el maravilloso arte de Christian Messey y los vibrantes colores de Brad Simpson donde el destino de la humanidad dependerÃ¡ de alguien llamado Carl Â¿En serio?
