REVIEW: Tomb Raider # 18

G’day Adventurers,

This is Dodgy86 in the mix, ready to embark on a journey with Tomb Raider # 18 by Rhianna Pratchett with art by Derlis Santacruz and inker Andy Owens.

This book focuses on Lara attempting to have a grip on reality! Her past is based on jumping from cliff face to cliff face and dodging dangerous creatures and traps.. she is overwhelmed with the noise of traffic and people surrounding her. She surrounds herself with the support of friends, is she ready to settle down or is her past asking her to come back?

This is really a Tomb Raider book? This is a far cry from playing Tomb Raider on PS1 and the Top Cow books from the late 1990s! The artwork and pacing is a letdown.. The story is slow and boring, the artwork looks nice but Lara looks slightly normal (not sexy like in the game). I suppose Dark Horse is making it more appealing to the female audience, but this introductory issue does not win me over.

Put down your controller and Do ya’self a favor, don’t save this game unless the next stage is more interesting
