Tomboy #1

Let’s judge this book by its cover… Beautiful art with a sinister twist.
What does it take to turn even the kindest of us into a monster? How far can someone bend before breaking? We meet Addison blood soaked on the roof of the courthouse, she tells us how as young girl she was afraid of monsters under her bed and that every night her dad would take a flash light and look for her, never finding a monster. We flash back and Addison is a normal girl enjoying life on her 16th birthday, pancakes, friends and school, when her best friend is murdered along with his dad. Devastated and alone she heads home on the train, where she bumps into the two men that killed him. There we find out why her father never found any monsters under her bed, because the monster was in the bed.
This is a great read, in so few pages you already care about Addison to the point that seeing her so broken is heart breaking to read. Add great art in the mix and this book stands head and shoulders above most out there right now.
5 stars means buy this book, you won’t regret it.

Hey, I'm Shane.
Been into comics since I was about 5. Loved watching Wonder Woman and superboy in the 80's.
I Started reading seriously about 10 years ago. Began to collect a few comic series, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Teen Titans, Justice League of America and Superman Batman all pre flashpoint. Being honest that was my favourite run.
