REVIEW: Uncanny Season Two #1

Art – Aaron Campbell
Letters – Simon Bowland
Colours – Salvatore Aiala Studios
Cover A – Jock
Cover B – Ben Oliver

Don’t judge a book by its cover…Black and white with 3 people and a box. It’s not giving anything away I’ll give it that.

Last season on Uncanny…No idea, no recap. Let’s hope it’s nothing like lost.

Season two of Uncanny..A team enhanced explores arrive on an island in search of the source whole evading an evil organisation. Not too clear on all their abilities. One seems to be able to jam communications while another can blow things up with her mind, a third is an indestructible woman. Misfits drawn together to stop evil. It appears someone more powerful them all has followed them. It’s weird, Not in a bad way. It would make a good TV show.

It’s all fun and games until someone loses an eye…Nice bit of action with some head shots and explosions. The leg break is harsh but she heals quick.

The Good, The Bad and The Meh…
The Good – The art and the pacing.
The Bad – Even though it’s an issue 1 it’s the second part of the story.
The Meh – The stopping evil from getting their hands on something thing is so over done.

Not a bad issue really. Judging this issue alone with no prior knowledge of the story I have to give it a strong 3 star. Though I didn’t really know what was going on its still a good book. If you’ve read season one. Then you will like season two.

Hey, I'm Shane.
Been into comics since I was about 5. Loved watching Wonder Woman and superboy in the 80's.
I Started reading seriously about 10 years ago. Began to collect a few comic series, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Teen Titans, Justice League of America and Superman Batman all pre flashpoint. Being honest that was my favourite run.
