REVIEW: Xtreme Champion Tournament (XCT) #1
G“Day Crusaders,
This is Dodgy86 in the mix bringing you Xtreme Champion Tournament (XCT) # 1 by Shaun Paulet and Brendan Halyday with art by Jerry and Penelope Gaylord. Published by Comics 2 Movies.
If you haven“t read XCT # 0, the Xtreme Champion Tournament is the UFC with weapons. Spartacus was resurrected through DNA science to fight in theses tournaments. You should check it out!
The XCT ratings are through the roof and demand is massive for their new champion Asterion, who keeps winning again, again and again. There is currently not enough competition and gladiators are being slaughtered, this could be because Asterion is a friggin“ Minotaur!!
There is desperate needs from the powers-that-be for a new champion to rise, a new competitor to face the Minotaur, enter Spartacus..
This does pick up from # 0, no unnecessary over worded story telling and dialogue. It is straight up ”˜in your face action“ and plenty of violence for fans of gore. The art by the Gaylord’s is gorgeous and complements the story and almost justifies the violence.
This is tonnes of fun, and do ya“self a favor and check it out!
