So I thought I would give the ZBox from Zavvi.com a go since they are offering 2 free boxes with your first box, not bad for £19.99. Here are the boxes, their content and my thoughts.
The first box is called the ZBox2 which is essentially a sampling of previous boxes and is normally priced at £9.99
First look inside and it doesn’t look too bad!
We get a zombie heat changing mug, ill use it for work.
A pixal figure of tales from sonic, over 200 mini Lego pieces to make this little fella, I doubt I’ll bother!
Some Iron Man decal sticker might stick em on the fridge!
A Ghostbusters postcard… Yeah a postcard.
A selection of DC comics badges, I don’t mind these, I’ll find a place for them.
A lego city play set, my nephew will like this.
And an Xmen Graphic novel, I’ll give it a read, I’m not a big X-Men fan
Overall not bad for a freebie but I’m not sure I would have been happy paying £9.99 for it.
The the next free box is a mystery box from a previous month which is usually priced at £19.99 but again this box was totally free!
I got the good cop/bad cop box
As soon as you open it you see the standard tee shirt
This is a generic police badge black tee, I don’t like tees in mystery boxes, I’d rather a random comic personally
Next we find a mini mega phone keyring, a fun little novelty but not for me
A lego city play set (again) my other nephew can have this one
A soft Robocop keyring, too big for my keys but I like it enough to keep it
A chalky whistle sweet, annoying sweet from my childhood that my mum would hate me having. I love it
My favourte item in the box is this metel cast Judge Dredd badge, this is going on display right away
A Judge Dredd one shot comic, I’ll keep it with my Badge
And the monthly theme magazine
Overall this box was a bit of a let down with the exception of the Dredd badge  this wouldn’t have been a box I would choose!
The final box is this months box with the theme mutate, because of the release of X-Men: Apocalypse and TMNT.
This box is bigger than the previous two and when you open it you see why.
We’re greeted by the smiley face of Raphael.
Raphael is a soft plush by Funko, I’m not actually a big fan of the big head freaks known as Funko but the plush ones are at least cuddly.
The tee shirt looks to be Apocalypse from X-Men, I don’t wear random tees like this but my brother will love it.
Next we see a Disney Infinity Hulk figure, sadly, I don’t have this game but it’s a nice looking figure none the less. Â I expect to see a lot more of these in boxes now that Disney has discontinued the line.
Finally we get an X-Men hard back graphic novel, again not big on the X-Men but I’ll give it a read and see.
And of course the theme magazine.
This is the box that I paid for, this was the theme I knew I was getting and aside from the Funko plush this box had nothing in it for me sadly, had I paid £19.99 for just this box I would be so unhappy but with the promotional offer and receiving all three boxes I’m not disappointed that I’m £20 down.
I would have to say if you are thinking of getting the Zbox only do so with the offer as three boxes for £19.99 gets you a fair bit of swag even if it’s not all to your liking, with the offer its a 5 star deal!

Hey, I'm Shane.
Been into comics since I was about 5. Loved watching Wonder Woman and superboy in the 80's.
I Started reading seriously about 10 years ago. Began to collect a few comic series, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Teen Titans, Justice League of America and Superman Batman all pre flashpoint. Being honest that was my favourite run.
