Set Sail Once Again - The Legend of Jamie Roberts Returns to KickStarter

The Legend of Jamie Roberts, the genderqueer swashbuckling fantasy webcomic by Kelci D Crawford, is returning to KickStarter from October 1st to October 21st, seeking $1,300 in funding to reprint volumes 1 and 2. These first 2 volumes collect the first 8 chapters of the webcomic, plus bonus materials such as bonus comics and original concept art.

The story follows Jamie Roberts, a genderqueer pirate, and their two best friends, Thomas and Daniel. The trio find an unfinished map during a raid, and decide to leave the seas and search for treasure in this new land.

The KickStarter is to fund reprinting volumes 1 and 2 with a new book printer. Rewards for this campaign include copies from the new and old print runs, mini-comics, stickers, and commissions from the artist.

Kelci has been drawing this webcomic since 2018, and draws inspiration for the comic from African art history, pirate lore, and fields notes from Navajo Nation, Acoma Pueblo’s Sky City, and the Hocking Hills area of Ohio.
