Skybound Shares First Look at Skinbreaker Series Finale as the Future of the Tribe Hangs in the Balance

Robert Kirkman & David Finch’s Epic Series Reaches Its Action-Packed Finale April 29 

Skybound and Image Comics shared the first look at Skinbreaker #8, from the iconic creative team of co-creator/writer Robert Kirkman (Invincible, The Walking Dead), co-creator/artist David Finch (Batman, New Avengers), colorist Annalisa Leoni (Invincible Universe: Battle Beast), and letterer Rus Wooton (TRANSFORMERS). The final issue of this breathtaking action epic hits comic book shelves on April 29, 2026.

After the explosive events of the last issue… who will lead the tribe now?

In addition to the main cover by David Finch & Annalisa Leoni, the cover lineup for Skinbreaker #8 includes a portrait variant cover by Finch & Leoni, a painted cover by David Finch & E.M. Gist, and incentive variant covers by all-star artists Lorenzo De Felici, Eric Canete, and Tony Moore.

Skinbreaker #8 Treasury Edition features an oversized 8.5” x 13.25” presentation of the series to capture the incomparable grandeur of David Finch’s art. Experience all the action, bone-crushing battles, and shocking twists in this commemorative large format, presented on deluxe newsprint.

Also, this fall Skybound will collect the complete Skinbreaker saga in two stunning deluxe hardcover editions. Arriving in comic shops on October 7, 2026, Skinbreaker Deluxe Edition and Skinbreaker Black & White Deluxe Edition collect all eight issues in Treasury format, designed to showcase every detail of Finch’s breathtaking artwork.
