Skybound Reveals First Look at Super Creepshow #2 and Its Superpowered Vampire Horror
When the Creep-Signal lights up the sky, that ain’t a cry for help — that’s a straight-up warning. Skybound and Image Comics have unleashed a first look at interior pages and variant covers for Super Creepshow #2, the latest chapter in the wild, twisted expansion of the Eisner Award-nominated Creepshow comic universe inspired by Greg Nicotero’s Shudder TV series. If you like your horror nasty, your superheroes messed up, and your anthologies stacked with killer talent, this book is aiming right for your jugular when it hits comic shops on April 15, 2026.
In true Creepshow fashion, every issue of Super Creepshow delivers two standalone tales packed with terror, madness, and the kind of creepy chaos that sticks to your brain like midnight fog. This five-issue anthology series pulls together creators from across comics, books, film, television, and beyond, making each issue its own fresh nightmare with a brand-new creative blast of horror-fueled insanity.
And Super Creepshow #2 is not playing games.
First up, Gerry Duggan (X-Men, Deadpool) and Scott Buoncristiano (The Dark Room) dig into a nasty little question: where do superhero powers really come from? Spoiler alert — probably nowhere good. Their story peels back the rotten truth behind a mastermind pulling the strings and the ugly lengths he’ll go to for attention, power, and the spotlight.
Then things get even more gloriously unhinged as legendary comics titan Marv Wolfman (New Teen Titans, Crisis on Infinite Earths) teams with Michele Rubini (Zagor) to ask the question nobody knew they desperately needed answered: Are vampires superheroes? Yeah, that’s the kind of deranged brilliance this series is serving up, and honestly, we are here for every blood-soaked second of it.
On the visual side, Super Creepshow #2 comes loaded with style. The main cover is by Pye Parr (TRANSFORMERS), with additional open-to-order variant covers by Scott Buoncristiano and Michele Rubini & Lee Loughridge (Fables), giving collectors and horror fiends even more reason to clear space in the long box.
And that’s just one piece of the madness. The larger Super Creepshow lineup is absolutely loaded with talent, featuring names like Kieron Gillen, Ryan North, Derek Charm, James Harren, Brandon Thomas, Juann Cabal, Ram V, Christian Ward, Sam Humphries, Jackson Lanzing, Collin Kelly, Sean Izaakse, Matteo Lolli, Riccardo Burchielli, and Fábio Veras. That is a seriously nasty roster of creators bringing superhero horror to life in ways that feel weird, fresh, and gloriously wrong.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the growing Creep-verse, Creepshow Vol. 4 arrives in comic shops this week, serving up another feast of stomach-churning tales from acclaimed creators across comics, film, and television, including Jeremy Adams, Philip Fracassi, Sina Grace, Ted Raimi, Eduardo Risso, and more.
Fans looking to catch up can also grab Creepshow Vol. 1, Vol. 2, and Vol. 3, along with Creepshow Deluxe Book One, which collects the first two volumes in hardcover. So whether you’re already deep in this horror pit or just ready to jump in and let the weirdness consume you, there’s plenty of nightmare fuel waiting.
The Creepshow comic miniseries deal was brokered by Striker Entertainment.
Super Creepshow #2 will be available in comic book shops and on digital platforms including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, for $3.99.
