Starring Sonya Devereaux Sequel & Nomination for Best Comic 2020!

Crowd Funding for the new Issue is live on IndieGoGo!

The independent publisher had remarkable success in their first crowdfunding effort for the trade paperback collection of Starring Sonya Devereaux. The IndieGogo campaign reached its funding goal in 24 hours and AMP extended the effort to reach its stretch goal, resulting in additional exclusive rewards for backers. Now the publisher hopes to have a similar experience for the title’s new issue, Starring Sonya Devereaux: Warrior Woman Death Team 5, an action-packed sword and sorcery movie about a heroic barbarian queen forced out of retirement to search for a kidnapped princess and re-assembles the mighty, all-female Death Team to combat an evil Lord.

Remarkably, creators/writers Todd Livingston & Nick Capetankis, and twin brother illustrators Brendon & Brian Fraim, who are nominated for Best Artists of 2020 by CriticalBlast, fit an entire movie into each 30-page issue. Part of what makes this already unusual book more unique is that real-life actors including Meredith Salenger, Damion Poitier, Magda Apanowicz, WWE’s Katarina Waters, and adult star Caroline Pierce add their likenesses to co-star in the movies with the fictitious Sonya; the new issue features gorgeous Carlee Baker (Robot Chicken) and Troy Fromin (Ox from Saved By the Bell).

The new IndieGogo campaign for Starring Sonya Devereaux: Warrior Woman Death Team 5 launched Friday, January 15, 2021 and funded within hours, with the title slated for release in April 2021. The creators again promise great IGG rewards like an exclusive variant cover, an original all-new Sonya story for backers only, and the opportunity to be written & drawn into an issue. Warrior Woman Death Team 5 features the latter reward with a backer appearing at the real pop culture convention WonderFest with Sonya.
