THOUGHT BUBBLE ANNOUNCE FIRST GUESTS FOR 2024 COMIC CONVENTION

TINI HOWARD, JOCK, SWEENEY BOO, KHARY RANDOLPH, J.L WESTOVER & MORE ANNOUNCED FOR YORKSHIRE CONVENTION

Renowned comic art convention Thought Bubble have announced the first batch of guests and speakers for this year’s event. Returning to Harrogate Convention Centre, Thought Bubble will take place over 16 & 17 November for one of the most important and beloved events in the international comics calendar.

Guests announced today include in-demand comics writer Tini Howard (Catwoman, Excalibur, DC Comics’ Harley Quinn), the legendary British artist and DSTLRY founding creator Jock (The Losers, Batman: The Black Mirror, Gone); prolific artist, illustrator and writer Sweeney Boo (Eat, & Love Yourself, Over My Dead Body, DC Comics’ Harley Quinn), award-winning Italian comic book creator Luana Vecchio (Lovesick, Bolero, DC Comics’ Poison Ivy) and British, NYT best-selling artist Lee Garbett (Uncanny Spider-Man, Shadecraft, Skyward).

Joining them will be guests such as Spanish illustrator Emma Ríos (Island, The Nest, forthcoming graphic novel Anzuelo), Vienna-based artist Khary Randolph (Mosaic, Excellence, Sirens of the City), contemporary comic writer and artist Joanne Starer (Fire & Ice: Welcome to Smallville, Total Suplex of the Heart), award-winning comic strip artist and graphic novelist Steven Appleby (Dragman, Crocs in Frocks), critically acclaimed Afro-Latina comics writer, editor and publisher Jamila Rowser (Wash Day Diaries, Black Josei Press) and Birmingham-born illustrator and cartoonist Lucie Ebrey (Cowgirls and Dinosaurs: Big Trouble in Little Spittle).

Featuring hundreds of artists and creators that will appeal to all kinds of comic book fans, Thought Bubble is a true festival of comics and comic art with some of the world’s most influential and exciting creators making their way to Yorkshire alongside thousands of attendees from the UK, Europe and the US.

With capacity crowds expected this November, 2024 will see the first time Thought Bubble attendees will be able to collect their tickets early thanks to box office desks set up in independent venues around Harrogate on the Friday evening. This early collection will cut down queuing time on the first day of the convention as well as encourage Thought Bubble fans to explore and support more of Harrogate’s independent businesses.

Tickets for Thought Bubble Comic Convention are on sale now, with newly introduced ticket options for families and students, while under 12s, carers and over 65s tickets remain totally free. Tickets give access to all events within the comic convention weekend; panels, workshops, guest signings, as well as the three huge halls of over 400 exhibitors, publishers and much more still to be announced.
