VAULT LAUNCHES CROWDBUILDING CAMPAIGN™ FOR SOMETHING CRAWLED OUT
Vault Comics launched a Crowdbuilding Campaign™ for Something Crawled Out, Son M and MadCursed’s newest comic horror masterpiece. The campaign is live now on BackerKit.
Unlike a traditional crowdfunding campaign, a Crowdbuilding Campaign™ isn’t about funding, it’s about fandom. The goal of a Crowdbuilding Campaign™ is to bring together a league of both existing superfans and new fans, to give them unimpeded access to both free and premium rewards, and to create a path for greater fan excitement to unlock greater fan rewards. As more fans join the Something Crawled Out Crowdbuilding Campaign™, new treasures will be unlocked for everyone, including more digital comics, more exclusive covers, and more goodies direct from creators Son M. and Madcursed.
The completion and distribution of Something Crawled Out is not tied to the success of the Crowdbuilding Campaign™; the book is already complete and ready to share with readers. There is no funding goal. It’s this simple: as more fans show up, more exciting rewards will be unlocked.
Written by Son M., drawn by Cas ‘MadCursed’ Peirano, colored by Vittorio Astone, and lettered by Jim Campbell, Something Crawled Out contains 4 oversized, full-color issues for over 170 pages of horror. Limited enticing covers found only through this campaign, including special 18+ ultra-violent Body Bag and ultra-sexy Black Bag covers. Readers can pledge to receive these special covers at convenient digital tiers or comprehensive physical tiers.
Available EXCLUSIVELY in this campaign, a special 16-page, 18+ BackerKit-only Something Crawled Out side-comic written by Son M. and illustrated by Dri Gomez. This comic will not appear in print in any form, so once the campaign is over, this limited edition story offer disappears forever.
In Something Crawled Out, Edith “Eddie” Miller has no grand plans or great prospects for her life in the vague American Midwest. She spends her days sleeping in and her nights working shifts at a gas station. But when her younger sister fails to come home, Eddie unearths a web of missing girls and rotting bodies. The police prove useless, so Eddie teams up with her best friend, Rainer, in a desperate hunt to find her sister. The only thing is, Eddie believes her best friend might be the Devil himself. Now the two must work together to discover the truth of what has happened to Charlotte, even if it costs them what remains of their souls.
