Diamond Select Toys The Nightmare Before Christmas Series 7 and 8 Figure Review

Happy Holiday’s from the big guy in the Toyverse, and today we are going to be dropping a line(some thing cool kids say) about some Diamond Select Toys Nightmare Before Christmas Figures. Now this wave is Series Eight, and it comes with a really cool diorama piece that you will see more of in a b it. My overall first impressions are that this is great line of figures. They are eye catching, and really stand out in an action figure collection. So let’s take the deep dive, and jump into this offering from Diamond Select.

Burnt Jack

The sculpt on Burnt Jack is really tremendous. The details from the head down to the feet is spot on. The color choices on the suit work well, and the sculpted burnt parts of the suit are really neat. The articulation on Jack is the same as we have seen from other versions, but he can still move around. The added flight stand/base comes in handy as well. This version of Jack comes with one of the side walls to build the Guillotine.

The Vampires(Series 7 & 8)

So I decided to lump all the Vampires into one section. In order to have the whole family together, you need both Series 7 and 8. Each of the Vampires has a unique characteristic to them, which makes them stand out. I appreciate the head sculpts for each one, along with the umbrellas that they come with. My favorite from the family, has to be the massive Big Vamp. You are immediately drawn to it, or at least I am. Overall a fun set to have in this line. Each of the Vampires come with a dio piece for the Guillotine.  The Skinny Vampire comes with a wall piece, the Big Vampire comes with the  posts and bucket, the Short Vampire comes with  base for the platform, and the Small Vampire comes with some flooring pieces to round out the majority of the Guillotine.

Snowman Jack

Snowman Jack is in my opinion, is a fun piece.  You basically get two figures in one. You get a Jack head and arms, and then you can swap it out for tree branches and a cute snowman head. The sculpt and paint on this is really great. Having an articulated snowman is something I thought I never needed, but am happy to own. Add in a penguin and a a candy cane umbrella, and you are set. I have to say, out of all the figures between Series 7 and 8, this one is the most eye catching. The Snowman comes with the top portion of the Guillotine.

The Witches

Now the Witches are not a pair of figures that come together. They are packed in with the Vampire family of figures. Now the Witches aren’t articulated the same way as the bigger figures, but they still have some articulation. the sculpt and paint on both of these are just really great, and are the overall best of the whole set for my money.

The Diorama:

The Diorama for Series 7 and 8 is the amazing Guillotine. Thing is off the hook. It looks great in photos, and is a really amazing piece. I cant tell you how much fun I had using this thing for the photos you see. The Halloween Town Guillotine is a character in itself, and the team over at Diamond Select and Cortes Studios did just a wonderful job on it. Overall, don’t miss out on this set, its really an testament to the love of the DST team of the beloved classic.  Not many action figure lines can capture a feel of a movie so great, but Diamond once again smashes one into the bleachers. I want to thank Diamond Select so much for sending this over, and I hope you enjoy the photos.
