10 SUMMERS ARTIST, DSTRCT, RELEASES NEW EP “INSTALLATION 002”

Southern California based Hip-Hop artist, DSTRCT, released his second EP titled Installation 002 (10 Summers/Interscope Records). Previously released singles “For What It’s Worth” and “Loveless” are featured on the EP, in addition to seven brand new records. The new music comes with themes surrounding love, vulnerability and the allure of luxury and life’s finest offerings. He’s inviting listeners into his world of raw emotions and intimate experiences. The 10 Summers artist also dropped an accompanying video for “Rich Bi$$h.” Directed by Sam McKnight. The visuals are vibrant, energetic, and extravagant, with DSTRCT rapping playfully about the appeal of having a girl that’s got her own. With stunning visuals, both the song and video are light-hearted, upbeat and makes for the perfect summer anthem. Watch HERE.

Produced by Mustard, Installation 002 is a collection of songs that represent DSTRCT’s evolution as an artist thus far. The EP explores the depths of love and romance, delving into the complexities of human connection, heartbreak, and luxury. Elements of R&B and soul are blended to create a sound that is uniquely his own, and showcase his growth, not only as a rapper, but as an individual as well.

DSTRCT has been drawn to music his whole life and credits his older sister for introducing him to rock music with the likes of Nirvana, No Doubt, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, The Doors, and Janis Joplin. Since middle school, DSTRCT has been writing and recording music, and continued to develop his craft throughout college before leaving to pursue music full-time. It was his unique cadence, moody undertones, and smooth and clever lyrics that caught the attention of GRAMMY® Award-winning, multi-platinum chart-topping producer, Mustard, after sharing a demo. The mega-producer signed him to 10 Summers Records in 2022, and DSTRCT has continued to soar in his music career ever since.
