Dark Below Unveils Emotionally Charged Single “Self Inflicted” Along With New Acoustic Version of “Tense”
Dark Below, the Hard Rock band from Columbia, MO known for their raw intensity and introspective lyrics, is thrilled to announce the DUAL release of their latest singles, “Self Inflicted” and “Tense-Acoustic”. “Self Inflicted” was recorded at UMG Studios – Nashville and Co-Produced by Malcolm Springer (Matchbox 20, Collective Soul, Fear Factory, and Josey Scott) and Jason Schrick (JPS Productions).
“Tense-Acoustic” was recorded at North Village with Jason Schrick and Tim Hanson, then mixed by Malcolm Springer in Nashville. Tim Hanson brought great ideas to life on this and it almost feels like a completely different song from the original version. A music video will also be released soon for all to enjoy.
With “Self Inflicted,” Dark Below delves into the depths of human emotion, delivering a powerful sonic experience that resonates with listeners on a visceral level. The track showcases an upbeat, Collective Soul vibe, differing from their previous songs.
“This song is a reflection of the internal struggles many of us face, trying to do the best you can but it never being good enough” says lead vocalist and guitarist, Josh Campbell. “It’s about watching a relationship from the outside and watching it unfold, not being able to do anything about it.”
“Self Inflicted” is a testament to Dark Below’s evolution as artists, showcasing their growth both sonically and lyrically. The track serves as a preview of what’s to come from the band, as they continue to push boundaries and explore new musical horizons.
Dark Below invites fans and music enthusiasts alike to immerse themselves in the emotion and intensity of “Self Inflicted” and “Tense-Acoustic”.
“Self Inflicted” and “Tense-Acoustic” are now available on all major streaming platforms.
