Rad Cat links with Dutch Melrose to create alt hip-hop infused electronic ballad “Happy Never After” |
A product of four talented individuals coming together to give it their all, Rad Cat teamed up with artist friends Dutch Melrose, Kyle Reynolds, and Sobrino to produce this energetic alt hip-hop ballad.
“Happy Never After” scores the soundtrack to the next chapter in Rad Cat’s dusky, moonlit world adorned with the soaring tenors of Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter, Dutch Melrose. “It came about so naturally, it was just one of those songs that I was in the zone with from start to finish,” says Ariza.
Echoing influences of rock and hip-hop, the track incorporates live instrumental elements like electric guitar, drums, and the keyboard, crafting a sound framed by Ariza’s passion for electronic music production.
Rad Cat draws his influences from artists like SG Lewis, Madeon, Porter Robinson, and Justice, aspiring to use his art as a vessel to channel inspiration for other Latin musicians in the electronic music scene. “I wanna be the voice for my people,” says Ariza. “Honestly though, I just make music [to] express myself the way that I want to without thinking about what’s cool, and if that resonates with even one person, then I am on the right path.”
