Pimping the Long Box #6

Greetings my Comic Crusaders Family. I hope everyone is safe and well. I hope everyone is enjoying the warmer weather and starting to get their shots and vaccines. It’s time to get back to normal. Time to get back to conventions and strip clubs. Street pretzels and costume characters in Time Square. The Fremont Street Experience in all of its glory.

As always, please remember that you don’t need sight to have a vision and it’s not what happens to you but what you do about it.

If no one has told you they love you today, I Blind Adam the Comic Pimp love you. Never give up. Keep the faith and keep your pimp hand strong. Now let’s fight for truth, justice and getting people paid, laid and made. That is the American way. Let’s see what’s shaking in the world of comic books and pop culture.

1. South Park Vaccine Special

This was the best episode of South Park in years. It took no prisoners. I loved it. Not going to spoil it much but it was just a fun ride all the way. I do miss weekly episodes but will take specials from time to time. I loved the old people, I loved how the vaccine site was a nightclub complete with music and dancing. I loved how Stan’s Grandpa told Stan he was going to get some pussy right after his shot. The old people were riding motorbikes up and down the street and having the time of their lives, kicking out all the younger people.

I really dug the Cartman, Stan and Kyle’s bromance 3 and keeping it together for Kenny. The 321 ending was Matt Stone making fun of his divorce and how he and his ex wife share custody of his daughter. I also loved the prank the kids played on their teacher as it was such a classic South Park moment. I just hope it’s not another six months before we get another episode. If it is, then we do have classic episodes like Crazy Cripples, the Stem cell Christopher Reeves Episode as well as the greatest episode of all time: Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset; the Paris Hilton episode. Go enjoy some South Park today.

2. Dear Pizza Hut

Can you please do a blue cheese stuffed pizza crust? You have all the ingredients and your other stuffed crust pizzas reek of awesomeness…so do the stuffed crust blue cheese pizza already.

3. Daredevil is Marvel’s best written title

Loving Chip’s run right now. Matt being in jail just works. I’m hoping they don’t kill Matt Murdock as Matt has not been dead yet. I’m really loving the fact that Tophid Mary is getting her time to shine. I do believe Daredevil #254-257are very, very undervalued and she is a great character who would be cosplay gold. Maylor Wilson Fink is just awesomesauce. I have high hopes for Alice and Electra as Daredevil is just amazing. Especially seeing her trying to balance being like Matt and doing her own thing. I see books like Daredevil #168 second pring. Yes. there is a rare second print of daredevil #168 made for the 2003 movie. Might have been the 2005 move but that movie just sucked monkey balls. Jenifer Gardner was decent in the roll but who greenlit that movie? Books like the Electra Marvel Knights run from 2001. The series with the infamous nude issue #3. I have not loved Daredevil this much since the Marvel Knights run from issues #1-81 written by the greatest filmmaker of all time Kevin Smith and David Mack. Bryan Bedis’ Daredevil #9 The First Echo is a comic that changed my life. There is a scene where Daredevil and a girl are going to see the greatest movie of all time: Mallrats. Matt thinks to himself (‘cause Matt Mudock is a pimp and gets all the ladies) “If I play up the blindness a bit, I can get with this girl tonight. So due to that scene, I was able to stop being shy at the college bars and talk to girls. Then I discovered the greatest strip club in New England. It’s called the Foxy Lady in Providence Rhode Island. It is there at that club that Blind Adam the Comic Pimp was born. Without Kevin Smith’s run of Daredevil and movies and without Daredevil #9 there would be no Comic Pimp. So thank you David Mack and Kevin Smith. Daredevil is #awesome. Pick up the cheap comics like Daredevil the Target #1, books like Daredevil #241 and books with a killer cover by the Toddfather; books like #292-300 Fights with the Punisher, Bullseye and The Fall of the Kingpin. Go enjoy some Daredevil today.

4. Dear Red Bull

Please stop being stingy mother fuckers. Just make 40 oz cans of your amazing drink. You can never have enough Red Bull. It gives the body wings, fuels your mind and powers your heart. Red Bull gives you superpowers to conquer the day and keeps your pimp hand ready to just go and make the money. So Red Bull, just do it. Make the 40oz can of your incredible drink today. More Red Bull for all.

5. Can we please leave the Looney Toons alone?

First, they took away Peppy Le’Pew. That poor skunk. Now they want to get rid of Speedy. Leave my homie alone. He is the fastest mouse of all of Mexico and his cousin Slowpoke is the bomb. So please, just respect our cartoon history and leave them alone.

After the price spikes on Starfire #6 as it is now a $60 book, here are two other books to hunt for in your store online or at conventions:
– Dell Four Color #1084 is the first Speedy in comics.
– Bugs Bunny #2 as our favorite skunk right now on the cover.
My question about Starfire #6: What is Starfire going to do with Peppie?
But anyways, just stop and leave the Loony Toons alone and enjoy them today.

6. Why do we need a live action Power Puff Girls show?

Really, someone please answer me. Why do we need a live action Power Puff Girls show? It might be great, it might suck like a twenty dollar hooker. I do love the cast. They got for the girls Dove Caveren, Chloe Bennet (who had great chemistry in Marvel Rising Together) and I forget the third girl. My question is: How do they use folks like Modo Jo? This is the CW, like, the flash only does one grodd episode a season because of budget reasons so how does the Power Puff Girls use their greatest villain? Will the professor be in this show? How about the Mayor?

The cast news has done a great job for back issues of the comics. Especially Cartoon Network presents #1-4. Be on the lookout for the Burger King variant for that as well as Scooby Doo Where Are You #1. The DC comic series #19 is the first Mojo Dojo in comics that series ended with #70. The IDW publishing series is a great cheap investment right now for #2. There is a Hastings variant that is really cool. I wonder two things: first of all, What drug is chemical x? Cocaine? Ecstasy? What drugs gave Snowflame his powers in New Guardians? Number 2…..Never mind on #2 let’s move on.

Lastly, if you want some sweet action figure money, then go after the following three action figures.

– the first one is Secret Wars Falcon in the second wave of classic Marvel action figures, they made some weird figures. The two I think that might get some love with Falcon and the winter soldier coming out are the Falcon and Baron Zemo. Try and chase the mint on card figures which fetch $40 and up. Loose figures can be on the cheap, say $10 and up.

– my second figure to make money on is the 1994 She Hulk from the fantastic Four TOybiz line. This was a mail-away and is the first time we got a She-Hulk figure. Back in 1994 it was uncommon for female figures to be created. Mint in card is like $20iss.

– My final figure to make the money with this week is from the 2078 San Diego Comic-Con. It is from the Hot Wheels line of exclusives and I am shocked they made this. Hot Wheels did it. They made a Thanos chopper. The infamous Thanos chopper from Spidey Super Stories #39 got a toy of itself. It was a limited release and is tough to find but it’s the coolest Thanos collectable on the market. Plus, Spidey Super Stories #19 is the rarest Thanos appearance of his pre silver surfer #34 appearances who kept Spidey Super Stories in nice shape?

Happy hunting.

Well, that’s it for now. I want to wish everyone in the Comic Crusaders family a happy Passover and a Happy Easter. Don’t heat too much. Use the force and keep your Pimp Hand strong. Stay safe and be well. Until next time.

Blind Adam out.
