Greeting my Comic Crusaders Family. I hope you’re all safe and sound. I am hanging in there. I cannot believe it’s been almost a year since this pandemic started. I hope soon (very soon) it will all be over and we can get back to normal and enjoy events gain. I miss comic book conventions, strip clubs, concerts and just walking around New York City and Las Vegas. And having to wait to go to Disney World. I have faith that soon, very soon, we will be done with all the social distancing, all the wearing of masks and be able to get back to doing our thing.

As always, please remember that you don’t need sight to have a vision. It is not what happens to you but what you do about it. This is America. The greatest nation on god’s green earth. America, where all you need is a dollar and a dream. Where you can turn nothing into something special. The streets are paved with gold. Go chase your dreams and turn them into reality. Always use the force and keep your pimp hand strong.

Now, Let’s see what’s shaking in the world of comic and pop culture.

Just watched Wanda Vision Episode 4 on Disney Plus.

Wow. this episode was amazing. Just fucking knocked it out of the park. The episode is told from Sword’s point of view. Sword is the space division of Sheild. Sword first appeared in comics in Astonishing X Men number 3 in a cameo. The first full appearance was in number 6. Still waiting on the first MCU appearance of Abigail Brand with her green hair. Wonder if the carpet matches the drapes with her? Anyways. This episode shows Jimmy Woo teaming up with Darcey. Darcey first appeared in Thor, she was the bubbly friend to Jane Foster. She became a doctor since Thor the Dark World and is now a member of Sword. The chemistry between Jimmy and Darcey is just great. I loved when they were piecing together Wanda’s world and town. I could watch a weekly series with Jimmy and Darcey in it. Like a funny half hour X Files but in the MCU.

Here’s a few things I’m wondering with only four to five episode left to go:

Is the main woman, the head of the town, really Mephisto in disguise? Who is the real big bad of the show? Is it Wanda? I want to see the Marvel’s devil Mephisto in the MCU. He would be perfect for a Dr. Strange movie. This show lead into Dr. Strange the Mad Multiverse, so maybe it is time to go big or go home on books like Silver Surfer 3-4 and Silver Surfer 8 and 16? Or storylines like One More Day the Infamous Spiderman makes a deal with the devil. There Peter Parker trades his marriage for Aunt May’s life. Peter, you got the bad end of that deal, son.

My second question is this: Will they use Wanda Vision to bring mutants into the show? A reverse house of M#7? If you can find it on You Tube, there is a clip of Elizabeth Olson whispering ‘no more mutants’ where she explains the history of the Scarlet Witch. How does Marvel fix the Magneto and quicksilver father problem? Now that Mickey Mouse owns everything, what happened in uncanny Avengers 1 (the uncanny Avengers series that takes place after Avengers X Men accesses where it is revealed that Magneto is not their parent). I believe it is time to make Magneto the father of Wanda and Quicksilver again. If you’re a fan of Jimmy Woo, then you might want to invest in the following three books:

Yellow Claw #1 where Jimmy first appeared. It is a six issue series published by Marvel Comics in 1956. It has some great Jack Kirby art and was written by Mr. EC comics himself: Al Feldstein. Just a cool piece of comic book history.
Strange Tales #160 is a classic Jim Steranko shield issue where Jimmy was brought into the Marvel age of comics.
#4 Nick Fury Agents of Shield is where Jimmy Woo joins Agents of Shield. I see big things for Jimmy Woo and I want more Darcey as she is such happy watching.

Anyways, onto other things. Riverdale is an awesome show. I am almost caught up on season five. I am really interested in how the time jump will work out and I am happy to see one live action show to survive as Katie Keen and the chilling tales of Sabrina are done and finished. Whom do we pay big money pounds of cocaine and a few sexy hookers to in order to get a Riverdale/Chilling tales of Sabrina crossover? If you want a crossover to happen, give me a “hells yea!”

Dear Archie, can we please have a Madlyn Petch as Cheryl Blossom variant cover? I am not spooning much, but the reveal of who made all the video tapes was awesome. I do want to point out a great porn parody on Pornhub. It’s made by some good friends of mine: Wood Rocket Productions. They make parodies of comic book movies, video games and children’s show. Leeroy Meyers and his wife Holly run the company and April O’Neil stars in a lot of them. Including Ten Inch Turtles which is a TMNT parody. It’s amazing. There is a Venom and Even Dragon BallZ as well as a Mr. Rogers parody, My favorite one is Beaverdale. Beaverdale parodies Archie Betty and the entire Riverdale gang. The three-way with Archie, Betty and Veronica is just a masterpiece. A great sex scene. It also educates Archie Andrews. You can see Archie, you silly man sir, you never had to choose between Betty or Ronnie. Hells no. All this time wasted on trying to figure out who to date when the answer was around all along. Sharing is caring. Nothing shows you care like sharing. Especially in sex. So have a threesome today. Anyways, April Oneil is great in this movie. Moving on. A few Archie books to chase if you want some of that sweet comic book money:

Archie’s Pal Jughead #50
This is the first appearance of Jelly Bean Jones Jughead’s little baby sister. I believe all Archie Keys needs to be bought up. First of all, they are super tough in high grade. Second, for years and years, no one cared about Archie book. Then Archie did the reboot in 2015 and Riverdale happened. Now everyone loves Archie.
Veronica #202 The First Kevin Keller.
This has two printings, both prints are $20 books and Kevin is the first gay Archie Comics character and gets married in the Life with Archie #16. I hope we get more of him in the Riverdale Show.
Archie Comics #654 the first appearance of Harper.
Harper is the first handicapped character in Archie Comics history. There are many classic TandA and beach covers in Archie history books. Everything’s Archie #55 to name one. This is an infamous lipstick comic and a mention of Riverdale High’s BJ club. Don’t blame me, that’s what the story is called. Put it where the lipstick belongs.
There is of course the infamous Betty and Me #16
Betty is beating off guys left and right. Get it? She is beating off guys. Only in the town of Riverdale. There is even a series of comics from the late 1970S where Archie and the Riverdale gang teach sex ED. I kid you not, they are called Archie’s love scenes. They were created by Christian Spilker Studios. There is also ‘Archie gets a Job’ and other books in the series.

I want to end this Archie section by mentioning the 1990s classic NBC movie of the week: To Riverdale and Back Again. This was the first attempt at a Archie live action series. It’s a fun ride and has Jughead doing a hip hop version of Sugar Sugar. So, go get some sugar baby.

Please, do me a favor, always tell your loved ones that you love them. Always give them a hug. Nine years ago today was one of the last times I got to talk to my beloved grandma. My grandma died on April 25th 2012.

However, the last time I spoke to her was in February of 2012. Mary J Deanglies was my grandmother and my best friend. She was a single mother of five children, wife to Captain Adamo E Deanglies. He was an army pilot and a career soldier who passed on October 31st 1969 in the Vietnam war, of course.

My grandma was a great lady, a loving mother and grandmother. She took me in growing up. I know it wasn’t easy, but thank you grandma. Thank you for always believing in me. For always remind me that I was not blind, I just see in different ways. Thank you for being the first person to teach me that you don’t need sight to have a vision. Thank you for wiping every tear from my face. Thank you for nagging me and for pushing me. I do miss your packed lunches at conventions, but what I miss more is coming home from a New Jersey comic book shows. Mary would always as me the two most important questions after a convention:
Did you make money today? And did I eat anything that day?

Those were the days. Small conventions, making friends, licing out a dream and taking care of you. Making sure that in your later years when you were sick, that you were comfortable and well stocked with ice cream. Mary loved her ice cream. Sundaes….I was the only one in the family who was allowed to make them. I would give anything in the world to make her an ice cream sundae again. To just for five more seconds, hear her nag me about anything and everything.

The last telephone chat we had, and I believe at this point she new the end was near as she made me promise her two things which I try to keep to this day. The first promise was to stay happy. Very difficult at times. Especially the world we live in. But I try to stay happy for Mary. The second thing she made me promise is to never give up on my dreams and to remember that blindness does not define me and that I see the world… I just see it in a different way.

Mary, my friend, my best friend up in heaven, I want to re-promise you and with my Comic Crusaders family and God my eternal King Creator of the universe as my witness:
I will try and stay as happy as possible. I also want to promise that I will never let my dreams die. Mary, my friend, my teacher and the best mother a fat, blind, perverted idiot could ever ask for. I admit it, I am very flawed. Those are my flaws. I am a comic book nerd that is a loud mouthed, phatt pervert. No big deal. This is America and I promise you, my grandmother, my best friend that I will never let my dreams die. I will work my ass off until I have a kick ass comic book store and win a Eisner Spirit of retailing award. I will be the first blind man to win an AVN adult video award or an Xbiz or an Xcritic award and who why I am the Stevie Wonder’s of adult entertainment. I will take care of myself and always remember to eat something and make sure others do the same. Mary J Deanglies, thank you. Thank you for your kindness, thank you for everything. Until we are together in heaven, Eating ice cream, you are in my heart and I love you.

So please all, go hug your loved ones and tell them you love them.
