Pimpin’ the Long Box

Hello my Comic Crusaders Family,

My name is Blind Adam the ComicPimp. I will keep this short and sweet as I am trying to finish up a few things so I can enjoy my holiday season. I want to take this time to wish you all a very happy Hanukkah, a Merry Christmas, a happy life day and any other holiday you might celebrate . I also want to wish you all an abundant, rich healthy and successful 2021. I’m not sure about the rest of you, but I am glad to see this cluster fuck of a year go. Good bye and good night 2020. Remember, this too shall pass and if you’re struggling due to the pandemic, please remember you’re never alone. If no one has told you they love today, let me be the first. I love you and this too shall pass. We will get back to normal.

Because I want to put a smile on your face, I will share with you, my crusader family, some of my favorite Hanukkah/Christmas specials and comics. So sit back, have a cookie or a doughnut, a soda or coffee and enjoy my top six holiday specials.

Remember,  you don’t need sight to have a vision and it is not what happens to you, it’s what you do about it. I Love you all and hope you have a happy Hanukkah and a Merry Christmas and even a happy life day.

1.      Batman the animated series Christmas With the Joker

This is the second episode of the classic batman animated series. It features the Joker trying to destroy Gotham and Batman on Christmas. I just love
this episode. Especially the Joker singing Jingle Bells the fact that Batman can’t get past the title of the movie ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’. The killer hand puppet that  the Joker uses in this story always puts a smile on my face. The second batman animated Christmas episode ‘Holiday Knights’ which is based on ‘Batman Adventures the Holiday Special’ is also great. Especially the story with Clayface in the mall. I do wish the Mr. Freeze story could have been animated as it is very touching. Go track down a copy and read it…Batman and Christmas are a great combo #testify.

2.      The Rugrats Hanukkah Special

I just love this special. It’is well done and I love how the Rugrats are woven into the story of The Mcabee’s. The ending with the grandfather and uncle reading the story is very sweet, I watch this every season and it warms my hustler heart each time.

3.      X-Men the Animated Series

‘A Merry Morlocks Xmas’ and ‘Uncanny X-Men #143’. I will say this here and I will say this now. Kitty Pryde is a J.I.L.F #testify. Now that is out of the way, I want to say that ‘Uncanny x men #143’ is a decent story… but why did the X-Men leave Kitty alone at the mansion? That always bothered me.

The animated episode is just amazing. I love Jubilee and her trying to make her first Christmas as an X-Men special. The Gambit and Jean Gray kitchen stuff is amazing this cartoon meant for young kids. Really explains the meaning of Christmas, family, friends and good health. I Love the ending where Jubilee shares her gifts with the Morlocks. Just a classic worth watching.

4.      The Fat Albert Christmas Special

Just watch it. It’s a great cartoon. Tyrone finding the Christmas spirit is amazing. I love Fat Albert in the santa suit and the family finding shelter in the club house is fun. That being said, there are some more serious take away points as this cartoon shows the real facts about healthcare in America. I also love the lesson of how the universe has a balance of give and take people can be givers and takers and you have the freedom of choice to be one or the other. Just warms my hustler heart and pimp hand when I watch this.

5.      He-Man/She-Ra Holiday Special

I can break this down into three words: Skeletor gets the Christmas Spirit. That is all. Love it and watch it every holiday season.

6.      South Park: The Spirit of Christmas

This is the short Christmas card that started southpark. There are two of them: Jesus VS. Santa and Jesus VS. Frosty. Jesus VS. Santa is the better of the two, but both are a fun time.

I will end by mentioning a few runners up. I love the cover to Spectacular Spider-Man #112, Santa Claus with a machine gun wearing sunglasses.

I love the Justice League of America #188 which is a Classic Hanukkah story where The Atom explains the story of Hanukkah.

The Lobo Paramilitary X-Mas special (both the comic and the low budget movie) is great. How many times do you get to see the Easter Bunny hire a killer to wack Santa? I can’t wait to see what Lobo does with Hanukkah.

I also love the Family Guy episode ‘The Road to the North Pole’. Well,  that is all for now as I have a few things to take care of. Remember to enjoy the holidays. Be safe, be well. I love you all. Until next time, use the force, keep your pimp hand strong.

Love you,
