PRODUCT REVIEW: Antlion Audio XLR Power Convertor
I had the opportunity to try out the latest addition to the Antlion Audio Family. It is a NEW adapter for the ModMic 5. This particular adapter allows you to use your ModMic on XLR based mic inputs. This device converts high voltage phantom power used with pro balanced mic inputs into the much lower bias voltage (plugin power) required by many unbalanced condenser mics. This can mean a higher general signal to noise ratio, by making the connected pre-amp work much less and its power converter also offers a much higher output level than other such adapters. Take a look at a few images of the product below:

*Was very happy to hear that upon playback background noise/static was almost unheard non-existent.
I give this product a 4/5 as it’s Ideal for streaming and casting and it is a great affordable option to other such equipment for the podcaster on the go!

*For testing purposes used ModMic 5 with Beats Audio Headphones on the Scarlett 2i2 System.
