REVIEW: VALORANT X MILKMAN COLLECTION

Riot GamesNTWRKMilkman x VALORANT

In support of the newly released Episode 6 VALORANT, Riot Games has worked with the culturally conscious shopping app NTWRK and Milkman, who is a gamer himself, has used this collection as one of his many creative outlets. Oscar Botello a/k/a Milkman, is a creative director for Grammy Award-winning performer J Balvin and the founder of UMG Sub-Label Broke Kids Music. He is progressively making a name for himself in the arts community. The three pieces of clothing designed by the multidimensional artist were inspired by three renowned VALORANT Agents: the German genius Killjoy, the Brazilian dynamo Raze, and the South Korean assassin Jett. As a fan of Valorant’s illustrations, Milkman can identify with each agent in a variety of ways and draws inspiration from both his experience and the descriptions of the many characters. Fans may disengage from reality and interact with the characters on a whole new level because to the designs.

A big shout out to the team for hooking us up at Comic Crusaders with some swag to review. Check out the photos below of the 3 pieces in this collection, shot at our studio (CXCC Studios) with our model, the amazingly talented singer and entrepreneur, Geli.

KILLJOY-INSPIRED BEANIE:
This beanie is made of hand-knit acrylic yarn produced in the USA, Killjoy’s self-assurance and bright personality shine through. Milkman says he has a strong affinity for Killjoy’s upbringing “Like her, I had to travel the world as a creative director and get used to continual change. She has a really vivacious personality and a confident sense of style, which is why I utilized my distinctive blue Smiley.” Geli’s playful personality shined as she wore this beanie.

Geli noted how much she loved the crochet look of the hat and how great it fit!

RAZE-INSPIRED CROPPED FLEECE:
The cropped fleece, hand embroidered in the USA, incorporates screen print and airbrush techniques on a 50/50 cotton and polyester blend in honor of Raze’s native nation. Milkman says, “I was inspired by her most crucial power, a paint bomb, and the colors of her character.” She strongly identifies with her upbringing in a street art and music-centric environment.

Geli loved the crop top, stating the length is perfect to avoid any mishaps when arms are raised (lol),

JETT-INSPIRED FLEECE HOODIE:
The fleece hoodie, which is made of a 50/50 cotton and polyester blend, is screen printed and airbrushed in homage to Jett’s casual elegance and lethal accuracy. “I felt related to her personality features as I get quickly bored and I’m always looking for inspiration,” Milkman says of his inspiration from Jett’s wind powers.

Geli stated that she loved this hoodie as it had a nice, snug fit and the length was perfect (not to mention she loved the smiley face on the sleeve)!

Through this collection, Milkman, who has experience in the fashion industry, contributes some of his creative spirit to VALORANT. As a gamer, Milkman’s inventiveness perfectly embodies the edgy attitude and brand image of VALORANT and is a first in the history of the game.
