Silent Discos In Amazing Spaces will Make its National Premier at the Orlando Science Center on March 30th

The international phenomenon makes its Central Florida debut with three DJs spinning three different musical themes with channels dedicated to Taylor Swift, Throwbacks, and Emo & Rock. All taking place under the bones of a Tyrannosaurus Rex!

The craziest party of the year will take place in the main exhibition space of the Orlando Science Center, with DJs spinning amongst the exhibits at this late evening experience that runs all the way til 11pm. Silent Discos In Amazing Spaces will be taking over the museum for one night only and will be converting the visitor attraction into one giant dancefloor with the addition of a bar, nightclub-quality lights, visual effects, and, of course, three amazing DJs.

Never been to a silent disco before? Here’s how it works….

On arrival at the venue, you will be supplied with a set of wireless headphones. Each pair of headphones has a switch allowing you to toggle between three DJs. Flick the switch, choose your DJ, and get busy on the dancefloor!

The three DJs will be performing side by side from a stage set up within the main dinosaur exhibition space, and each will be curating a channel dedicated to a specific style of music. Those three channels are:

Channel 1: Swiftie Rave

Love Taylor Swift? Then what better than a channel playing back-to-back Swiftie anthems featuring music from across all the Eras! Expect all the hits, all the deep cuts, and some specially produced remixes as well.

Channel 2: Throwback Throwdown

Taking you to the 2000s, the ‘90s, the ‘80s, and beyond, our DJ will be spinning all the hits from back in the day, blending Top 40, Hip Hop, R&B, Classic Pop, Dance, and everything in between.

Channel 3: Emo & Rock Anthems

For anybody who has ever fallen in love with anthems from Fall Out Boy, Paramore, The Killers, Green Day, Nirvana, etc., we have a DJ dedicated especially to you. Lose yourself in classic and contemporary alternative showstoppers all night long.

Silent Discos In Amazing Spaces takes unique and unconventional venues where you would not expect to find a dance party and converts them into incredible, immersive DJ-led experiences. Guests get to enjoy the thrill of a silent disco in awe-inspiring surroundings for one night only. A company spokesperson said of the event:

“We love taking off-the-wall spaces, installing some incredible lighting and effects, and filling them with hundreds of party people for a night to remember. The Orlando Science Center really lends itself well to this concept as we’re able to host our party in the middle of the exhibition floor. Where else do you get to party with full-size dinosaurs on a Saturday night? Or have a drink at a VIP Bar, which is set up alongside spaceships and moon rocks?”

Part of the attraction of any silent disco is that multiple musical tastes can be catered to on the same dancefloor. Silent Discos In Amazing Spaces have taken a lot of time to curate what they believe to be the perfect blend of styles for an audience that will typically vary in age, tastes, and musical preferences. The cultural phenomenon that is Taylor Swift will have one DJ dedicated to spinning her tracks while, in contrast, those with a punkier preference will no doubt tune in to the Emo channel. For anybody just looking for a mix of classic dancefloor fillers like Beyonce, The Backstreet Boys, Usher, or Lady Gaga, the Throwback channel will tick all those boxes and more.

The show is produced by XL Event Lab, an Orlando-based Event Production company who have been at the forefront of Silent Disco innovation since launching Headphone Disco in the UK all the way back in 2007. A company spokesman said:

“We’ve been throwing silent discos via our Headphone Disco brand since 2007. We’ve toured the concept around the world over the past 17 years, and we’re really excited to bring this show to Orlando, where our company is currently headquartered. We’re looking forward to welcoming the Orlando party people out to the Orlando Science Center for an event they probably couldn’t have imagined when they first visited the space on a school trip.
