FAN EXPO Boston Show Opening Aug. 4 @3:30PM EST TODAY!!

Boston’s premier pop culture extravaganza will bring together celebrity guests, comic creators, favorite franchises, cosplayers and more!

FAN EXPO Boston will kick off the 2023 three-day pop culture extravaganza with a spectacular opening event at 3:30pm on Friday, August 4. FAN EXPO VP Andrew Moyes will be joined by celebrity guests, community partners, cosplayers representing Star Wars, Ghostbusters and other characters. The event will also include a ribbon cutting that signals the official opening of the show.

This year’s show will include a number of celebrity features, including legendary actor Henry Winkler (Happy Days, Barry), Hayden Christensen (Anakin Skywalker, Star Wars), Robin Wright (House of Cards, Forrest Gump), Zachary Levi (Shazam), William Shatner (Captain Kirk, Star Trek), Emily Swallow (The Mandalorian) Gabriel Luna (Tommy, The Last of Us), and Oscar Nuñez, Leslie David Baker, and Creed Bratton of The Office.

COSPLAY!

Cosplayers are invited to enter the Masters of Cosplay Grand Prix Bay State Qualifier competition where the winner of Best in Show will receive a free trip to Fan Expo Canada August 24-27, to compete against Cosplay winners of other Fan Expo shows. Contestants are required to register online by July 7, 2023, to be considered for the competition. For cosplayers who just want to strut their stuff, they can walk the Red Carpet anytime during the show and every participant will get a free photo taken by the official Cosplay Red Carpet photographer. FAN EXPO is also proud to announce the new Sustainability Award, where cosplayers will have a chance to win an additional $100.00 cash prize for using recycled materials or environmentally friendly crafting methods in their cosplay.
