Fast-Paced Match-3 Game Gives Players a New Way to Experience He-Man, Skeletor and More Legendary Characters

Blitz – the official Funko Pop! Match-3 puzzle game – for a limited-time in-game event. Starting today, Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 5 p.m. PDT through Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 5 p.m. PDT, heroes all around the world can call on “The Power of Grayskull” to battle the forces of evil. Funko Pop! Blitz is free to play and can be downloaded today via the Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad and Google Play Store for Android devices.
In this event, players can celebrate the revival of the iconic Masters of the Universe franchise by collecting the in-game Funko Pop! version of He-Man, an event-exclusive playable character. He-Man can be unlocked by gathering He-Man shields, which appear when players clear glowing chunks of Coridite – a powerful resource from the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe animated series – from the puzzle board. Players can improve their chances of collecting shields by collecting and playing as evil warriors like Moss Man, Stinkor, Evil-Lyn, and even Battle Armor Skeletor, all while being surrounded by the magical Castle Grayskull.
Funko Pop! Blitz joins the list of current and in-production projects for Masters of the Universe, a brand which has seen a recent resurgence in popularity through successful reimaginings of the classic animated series, a popular toy and collectible line, and the highly anticipated Master of the Universe: Revelation Netflix animated series.
To help players triumph during the Masters of the Universe event and future Funko Pop! Blitz events, the game now has a VIP Pass loaded with a variety of in-game benefits.
