GET BATTLE READY WITH THE MASSIVE-VERSE FIGHTING CARD GAME OUT IN OCTOBER
GET BATTLE READY WITH SOLIS GAME STUDIO, KYLE HIGGINS & BLACK MARKET NARRATIVE’S THE MASSIVE-VERSE FIGHTING CARD GAME OUT FROM IMAGE COMICS THIS OCTOBER
Players will be able to duel as favorite Massive-Verse superheroes from Radiant Black, Rogue Sun, The Dead Lucky, and Inferno Girl Red
Solis Game Studio, Kyle Higgins, and Image Comics are teaming up to bring The Massive-Verse Fighting Card Game to stores this fall for the first time after a successful crowdfunding campaign launched the game. In the 1v1 card game, players will be able to duel one-on-one as favorite superheroes from across the Massive-Verse, including from popular series like Radiant Black, Rogue Sun, The Dead Lucky, and Inferno Girl Red.
For those looking to play 2v2 or expand their collection, The Massive-Verse FCG: Team-Up Expansion allows for four players to join the battle with four new characters and two brand-new team decks that give players more ways to play. In addition, the official Massive-Verse FCG Playmat, featuring explosive art by superstar artist Dan Mora (Power Rangers, Absolute Power)—who also illustrated the game’s character cards—will be hitting shelves alongside the The Massive-Verse Fighting Card Game and Team-Up Expansion this October.
The strategic Massive-Verse Fighting Card Game will include individual character decks for each of the four lead heroes, as well as character decks for each of their most fearsome rivals—<001>, Cataclysm, The Griffin and Pyre. With deeply asymmetrical character decks and simultaneous turns, the game is designed to be lightning fast as the superheroes and supervillains go head-to-head in 1v1 battle or 2v2 with the Expansion. Card art is pulled straight from the Massive-Verse comics like Radiant Black, Rogue Sun, The Dead Lucky, and Inferno Girl Red, allowing fans to fully immerse themselves into the worlds within the pages of the Massive-Verse. The official playmat for The Massive-Verse Fighting Card Game has marked zones for two players to easily track their deck, discard pile, ultimate, health, and energy. Since The Massive-Verse Fighting Card Game utilizes Solis’ Pocket Paragons game system, it’s compatible with other Pocket Paragons sets, as well.
“I am so excited to finally bring The Massive-Verse Fighting Card Game to store shelves! It’s been a long journey and we are extremely proud of what we have created here. The game is exciting, dynamic, quick, and accessible,” said Game Producer Chris Solis.
“We’re beyond proud of the game we’ve put together with the team at Solis Game Studio—it perfectly captures the characters of the Massive-Verse in a fun, fast, fighting card game that’s ideal for both long-time fans and brand new readers,” said Higgins.
Also available now is Across The Massive-Verse Volume 1, a sampler trade containing the first issues of Radiant Black, Rogue Sun, The Dead Lucky, and Inferno Girl Red—an ideal entry point into the Massive-Verse for new fans discovering the universe via the card game.
The Massive-Verse Fighting Card Game (Lunar Code 0724IM433), Team-Up Expansion (Lunar Code 0724IM435), and Massive-Verse FCG Playmat (Lunar Code 0724IM434) will be available at comic book shops on Wednesday, October 2.
