Review: Ski hard: Lorsbruck 1978

“Ski Hard: Lorsbruck 1978”“ is a 3D time trials game developed and published by “Odd Chamber”“. “Ski Hard”“ is over all a really fun game with interesting art design and a lot of replayability.

The base of the game is skiing as the name would imply. To start off I didn’t expect to enjoy this game nearly as much as I did. My thoughts were that it couldn’t be that fun to go down hill in a game but boy was I wrong. There are four different skiers that all control totally differently. As I played initially I did horribly. It took me awhile to get the hang of how each skier works and actually get a decent time with them. “Ski Hard”“ being a game all about speed makes it more replayable as you just have to beat your score and do better. It always felt like I could work hard and get a better time as long as I was willing to put time into it.
The one thing I didn’t like that much was the visual design. The polygonal shapes made it feel like the world around you just didn’t make sense. And it only being a case of straight lines made it to where if you were in a slightly wrong spot for a second your run would just be over.

Over all I really enjoyed the game. I felt it was super fun and rewarding to play, always pushing for a new high score. I give “Ski Hard: Lorsbruck 1978”“ 4.7 out of 5 stars as I feel that Odd Chamber accomplished what they wanted to aside for some very slight visual design complications.
