Jim Starlin’s Breed Omnibus – Available now on Zoop

Not only has he worked on just about every major character for the Big 2, including writing the seminal Infinity Gauntlet, and Death In The Family for Marvel and DC respectively, but he’s also the creator of some of the most recognizable names in comics and movies today; Thanos, Drax, Nebula, Gamora, Shang-Chi, just to name a few. Today, the legendary creator Jim Starlin launches a 550+ page collection of one of his more personal creator owned characters, Breed exclusively on Zoop.

Breed is the story of Raymond Stoner, a down-on-his-luck ex-soldier who discovers his true heritage: he is the half-breed spawn a demon father and a human mother. Now Raymond must defend our world from demonic hordes, all while trying not to lose own humanity.

Collected by Monkey Wrench Press for the first time ever in a lengthy hardcover, the Breed Omnibus contains all three Breed series, plus a wealth of extras. Supporters of the crowdfunding campaign can get the book signed by Starlin, as well as other exclusive rewards.

Starlin says, “Looking back at Breed is a real pleasure. I think I did some of my best ink work on that initial Breed run. Having just recently reread the series, I’m still proud of the story.  I’m so pleased that we can now offer his journey to a new generation of readers and give the old fans a fancy omnibus edition to put on the ol’ bookshelf.”

Chris Scioli states, “Breed is an incredible entry in the Jim Starlin collection, one we have wanted to bring to life since day one. The Zoop team has brought to bear the level of service and support we were looking for in a collaborative partnership. Monkey Wrench Press is proud to be partnering with Zoop to put the Breed Omnibus into the hands of Mr. Starlin’s fans.”

The campaign for Breed is live now and runs through early July.
