John Cena ranked the 3rd most 'influential' wrestler of ALL TIME

New research reveals the most influential wrestlers on social media, with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson taking the crown.

Research conducted by wrestling experts Wrestling-World.com, examined the social media profiles of every wrestler in history with a verified Instagram account, as well as influencer marketing calculators to establish which wrestler has the most influential social media presence and how much they can earn per sponsored post.

The data revealed that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is the highest-earning wrestler on social media of all time. Known as one of the most popular and successful wrestlers of all time, it comes as no surprise that “The Rock” tops the ranking, as the wrestler-turned-actor’s Instagram account is the sixth most followed account on the platform. Topping the list by a landslide, “The Rock” can earn up to a whopping £828,420 per sponsored post on Instagram due to his immense follower count of 362 million.

Logan Paul is the second most influential wrestler on social media. Signing with WWE in June 2022, the YouTuber and internet personality is one of the most influential YouTube creators in history, with 20.3 million subscribers to his channel. Logan Paul can expect to earn up to £68,057 per sponsored post due to his 24.9 million Instagram followers and an above-average engagement rate of 3.63%.

The data revealed that John Cena is the third most influential wrestler on social media. The record-breaking wrestler has an Instagram following of 18.2 million, the third-highest follower count in the ranking, which means the icon could earn up to £49,945 for a single sponsored Instagram post.

Ronda Rousey is revealed as the fourth most influential WWE Superstar. Dubbing herself “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey, the former UFC legend has the second-highest Instagram following of 16.2 million, allowing her to earn a potential of £44,624 per sponsored Instagram post. Since the beginning of her career, Rousey has partnered with brands such as Crypto.com and the energy drink Xyience, consequently enhancing her influential social media presence.

The fifth most influential wrestler is Nikki Bella. As one-half of the Bella Twins, Nikki has 10.6 million followers on Instagram, allowing her to earn £29,206 per sponsored post. Following closely behind is the other half of the Bella Twins Brie Bella, who ranks sixth. Brie Bella has an Instagram following of 8.5 million, which allows her to earn up to £23,480 per sponsored post. Outside of wrestling, the Bella Twins have ventured into reality TV with their show Total Bellas and have launched a number of their own brands, also contributing to their on social media.

Roman Reigns can expect to earn an average of up to £18,682 per sponsored post, making him the seventh most influential wrestler of all time. Reigns has 6.8 million followers on Instagram and an engagement rate of 7.29% – the highest engagement rate of any wrestler – making his Instagram account ideal for sponsorship deals.

The top ten is rounded out with Triple H ranking in eighth place, earning up to £18,329 per sponsored Instagram post. Randy Orton ranks ninth earning £18,052, and Saraya, also known as Paige, ranks tenth earning £16,640.
