Kickstarter Preview: Word Smith 1 & 2

This is Dodgy in the mix brining you Word Smith 1 and 2 – The Competition via Kickstarter, by Stephen Kok. Proudly presented by Sigmate Studios.

Sigmate Studios, headed by the imaginative maestro Stephen Kok who brought us Blue, Tabby and 5 Seconds. Now Kok brings us a Steam Punk fantasy story.. answering a question of what if words can be brought to life?

Victoria is the best word smith in the city, however a challenger from theÂ Eastern NationsÂ might steal Victoria’s title!Â There’s adventure, excitement and of course, lots of words.

Word Smith 1 & 2 is already funded at 108% of its goal with 23 days to go, there plenty of rewards to be had and more it’s funded the better the rewards are.

Author Stephen Kok explained what inspired him to write Word Smith 1 & 2:

“I’ve loved the steampunk genre and it was a great opportunity to add it some fantasy elements. The initial inspiration was how a word can have a different meaning to different people and base a story around that. Oh and there’s a dragon as well!”

Kok was also asked why readers should check out Word Smith, he said:

“I’ve tried to apply that Pixar formula that kids 10+ can understand it but there’s something more for older readers as well. Anyone who loves steampunk, fantasy or adventure so definitely check it out. Volume 2 was a great opportunity for me to really expand the universe. Don’t worry if you haven’t read Volume 1, PDFs and hard copies are available as part of this Kickstarter”.
