Naya Ali new single “More Life, Less Names” is set to be released on March 10th 2023

Since the release of her latest project, Ali has toured internationally acclaimed festivals such as SXSW(USA), Great Escape (UK), Printemps de Bourges (France), Dour Festival (Belgium), Les Georges Festival (Switzerland), All That Matters (Singapore), and many more.

“More Life, Less Names” is the first single off of Naya Ali’s We Did The Damn Thing set to release in the fall of 2023.The record is yet another seamless collaboration between Naya and Toronto-based producer Adrian X, the last one earning them the 2022 English Album of the Year award at the ADISQ.

The song is heavy on the X’s signature entrancing guitars entwined with Ali’s love for hard hitting 808s and unpolished voice cracks-

“I can’t always paint a pretty picture, but I can always paint beautifully.” I’ve learned that it’s okay to walk away wholeheartedly from people or situations that do not serve me or my purpose. I wrote this record while reading Ryan Holiday’s “TheDaily Stoic” that constantly reminds me of the absence of a destination, only a journey that will inevitably forge our character. No need to point fingers or name names…trust yourself enough to walk away.”

  About Naya Ali:

Ethiopian born, Canadian-raised rapper Naya Ali is an award winning rap and hip hop artist who burst onto the scene in 2017 with her first EP “Higher Self”. Assertive in her raspy deliveries and exceptional flow, she is quickly noticed for unique vocal tone and ability to move in and out of flow pockets skillfully.

In March 2020, she released the first part of a two-album project: Godspeed: Baptism(Prelude), where she broke the ice and proved her potential to contend within the American and international hip hop markets. In 2021, she released the sequel to this opus, Godspeed: Elevated- an earnest body of work showcasing her journey from baptism into the rap game, to her imminent elevation. If the prelude was a humble introduction, this latest chapter testifies that Naya Ali is an artist of exception,  power, bravado but more importantly, of vulnerability. Godspeed: Elevated” is an album imbued with maturity inspired by emotions she has experienced in recent years, later earning her the prestigious English Album of The Year Award at the 44th ADISQ Gala in 2022.
