Papercutz Unveils New Webstore, Inviting Readers to Explore Imaginative Worlds and Unforgettable Stories

Originally established in 2008, Papercutz has a worldwide reputation for producing high-quality graphic novels for readers of all ages. In August 2022, Mad Cave Studios decided to acquire the imprint, inspired by the same noble mission and endeavoring to build upon Papercutz’s significant achievements. Now, Papercutz continues to present stories infused with contemporary sensibilities, diverse characters, and empowering messages. It remains a haven for children to explore imaginative new worlds filled with boundless possibilities.

Since the acquisition, we’ve seen exciting announcements and additions to the already robust Papercutz catalog, including–but not limited to– Children of the Phoenix, Digital Lizards of Doom, YAHGZ, The Loud House Super Special, and partnerships with Winx, Miraculous LadyBug, and more.

Staying true to the classics, Papercutz continues to provide stories that are pillars and constant in many homes. Fans of Geronimo Stilton, The Smurfs, Asterix, The Loud House, and Ralph Azham universes have a new home in Mad Cave’s Papercutz imprint.

“Papercutz has proven to be an invaluable addition to the Mad Cave family of imprints. Now, with an updated and upgraded new website, we continue to add to the experiences Mad Cave, Maverick, and Papercutz readers look for. It’s been a great first year for Papercutz, and the future for all of our imprints couldn’t be brighter.”

Mad Cave Studios’ acquisition of Papercutz has been an incredible journey, and we’re thrilled to host the brand under our umbrella,” said Allison Pond, CMO of Mad Cave Studios and Papercutz. “Papercutz has a rich history of producing high-quality graphic novels that captivate readers of all ages. With our mindfully refreshed website and brand image, we’re excited to provide a seamless and immersive experience for fans to explore our extensive catalog of imaginative worlds. Our mission is for Papercutz to continue to be a haven for readers seeking diverse characters, empowering stories, and boundless possibilities.”

Mad Cave Studios Design Director, Miguel Zapata, shares insight on the refreshed Papercutz brand elements under Mad Cave Studios; “The new orange shape was developed from the Mad Cave Studios’ logo wings. Those elements allude to a Z shape that replaced the hard edges with rounded ones to give the brand a kid friendly look. While keeping a similar appearance to the old Papercutz logo, this new look helps in unifying all the brands of the Mad Cave imprints.”

Mad Cave Studios Interactive Media Designer, Adriana T. Orozco adds; “For the new Papercutz website we brought out to the spotlight the best of the Papercutz essence and added the iconic Mad Cave madness. Our goal is to present the Papercutz diverse catalog by taking advantage of youthful colors and dynamic content. The website is now clearer and more user friendly. We are constantly updating and trying to deliver to the Papercutz fans the best content from their beloved series.”
