Popcorn Synopsis:
Popcorn by Rob Harrell follows the journey of Andrew, a seventh grader dealing with an intense day of challenges that he calls “The Worst Day Ever.” Struggling with anxiety, Andrew attends therapy sessions and tries to manage the overwhelming thoughts that fill his mind. Throughout the story, Harrell combines humor with heartfelt moments, capturing the realities of middle school life, friendship, and self-discovery.
The book explores serious topics like mental health and the pressures young people face while navigating school and personal issues. Harrell’s writing is known for being both funny and emotionally resonant, and Popcorn continues this trend by offering readers a humorous yet impactful story on coping with anxiety and finding support in friends and family
