POST-APOCALYPTIC ROBOT SAMURAI ARE JUST THE BEGINNING IN “YOJIMBOT”

On the run after the murder of his father, Hiro must rely on robot protectors to survive

Available in English for the first time, Dark Horse Books presents Yojimbot Volume 1: Metal Silence by writer and artist Sylvain Repos, with colorist Noiry. The post-apocalyptic dystopian story, translated and localized by Matt Maden, features a world where robots reign supreme, and one samurai-reenacting robot—a Yojimbot—makes the choice to help a human boy in danger.

While attempting to flee a robot-inhabited island, Hideo and his son Hiro are attacked by a troop of armored humans. When Hideo sacrifices himself to save his son, a lone robot-samurai, called a Yojimbot, stands between Hiro and his death. Throughout their journey to escape the island, the robot-and-child duo are joined by other Yojimbots willing to protect Hiro against the hazards of the ruined island to find the mysterious “rights holder” who may hold the key to Hiro’s safety. But more dangerous foes lie between Hiro and his freedom…

Yojimbot Volume 1: Metal Silence will be presented in paperback and includes 160 pages. The 7” x 10” volume will be available for purchase in bookstores December 3, 2024 and comic retailers on December 4, 2024. It is now available for pre-order on AmazonBarnes & NobleTFAW, and at your local comic shop and bookstore. Yojimbot Volume 1: Metal Silence will retail for $19.99.
